  1. So far so good. It's a very big surprising hit, and props to the FO for finding this one. With that said, the question is how long will it last? I just hope it's not a fluke and he'll continue pitching well once teams see him more then once.
  2. Pretty shocking. He seemed like a fair guy, and not above making fun of himself. He'll be missed. Anyone know who MSNBC is going to give the nod to? Pretty big shoes to fill.
  3. QFT. I'm sure we could raise up a few dozen topics with the same "issue" and the same arguments. Fun..
  4. I'm in the same boat.. at least Bob and Jim can be entertaining while they stink.
  5. Friend of mine was trying to get to the twin cities. After 3 hours and only getting about 60 miles out side of Madison she turned around. Good luck anyone traveling this weekend.
  6. Slowey is on my AL Roster, so he's going to get lit up, since my team is starting to tank.
  7. Aww dang.. I could have called in and professed my love for her.
  8. The stats point that they aren't going to be AS hurt as we would be if say we lost Braun.
  9. /me waits for the small sample size replies. I love 3TO, jus hope he can keep it up.
  10. Yeah NSBB had a few crappy fans cheering at injuries. I hate the Cubs with the fire of a thousand suns but I can't cheer injuries. Cubs didn't miss a beat last time, but maybe we have a shot at gaining some ground. Soriano is leading the Cubs in jacks and 4th in RBIs (And had a DL stint already so he's been on fire).
  11. Wow.. when it rains it pours for the Cards. Pooohoooles is a stud, so I wish him a speedy recovery. (Just stop being a stud vs. the Brewers)
  12. Mmm.. delicious HD. To bad TWC won't be out till Tuesday.. Jerks!
  13. Viagra? Don't forget to tip your waitress, I'll be here at week.
  14. Riskie to throw another BP Session Thursday 6/12. Looks like he's about ready to head to a rehab assignment afterwards. Few weeks?
  15. Boy I so wanted to make a better thread title but I'm sure it would have violated BF.net Rules. But you can use your imagination. Apparently Viagra was used by Roger Clemens to enhance his play, and not just with Mrs. Clemens. I wonder if he showered alone. That would be a tad bit odd.
  16. Wonder if the prices have come down. Might not be a bad cheap solution to just "get out of town". I'm curious how long it's going to take to repair the dam. My guess is that's what's going to take the most time, repair.
  17. Well I gambled on Willis in an AL Bid fantasy team. This didn't work. Same with the Big Hurt. I picked him up as a bench player.
  18. There's a post by dixie about his pitches. Dixie also posted the movement charts. http://baseball.bornbybits.com/bcb/bush_move.gif http://baseball.bornbybits.com/bcb/sheets_move.gif http://baseball.bornbybits.com/bcb/suppan_move.gif http://baseball.bornbybits.com/bcb/parra_move.gif http://baseball.bornbybits.com/bcb/villy_move.gif It seems that Bush becomes very hittable around 50 - 60 pitches and then recovers. His fastball seems to slow down a mph or two and moves a few inches less.
  19. Funny stuff. Hop Around Would Literally Astound Ourselves http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3060/2561352250_266147ee97_m.jpg
  20. Yeah there is Jazzy, in the Hardball Times article. http://baseball.bornbybits.com/THT/Sheets.gif
  21. Yeah no kidding on Bush plot. I can't wait to see the movement decrease, if their movement decreases as much as their speed no wonder why we hit a wall in the mid innings. I'd also be curious to see their change speed over PC, if the fastball and the change get a lot closer (and become more hitable)
  22. There's an interesting article over at BCB by dixieflateline (Josh from THT) about our starters fastball speed over pitches thrown. Check it out. The scary thing is to look at Bush's speed decrease over IP. He also has full article about other pitchers (And Sheeters) over at Hardball Times. The other note is that movement on the fastball decreases a good inch+ later in games. Josh is going to plot that for us and get it up there.
  23. Ouch. That's gonna hurt the Cards. I guess it's time to see how deep they are. Think we've been tested well enough already.
  24. So ahh.. if I wear a wig and bra can I do the womens baseball thing? I'd kill to warm up in the BP, and sit in Bobs seat. (does that make me a nerd?)
