  1. Way to go Jr. I've always liked watching him play. To bad he was injured all the time or he might have been one of the greatest players of all time.
  2. I missed the game as I don't have Cable yet. (Shakes fist at Time Warner). I think the mistake in the handling of Mota is one of Yosts major flaws. He thinks that each guy has a roll and he will not go outside of it, no matter how bad they look. The fact of Mota is, he has had big time control issues in the past and should be handled in a manner that's aware of the situation. Same thing with his handling of Turnbow, he's shown that he has had some serious control issues and just let him sit out there. Mota has been good, and at times lights out. But he should be handled with care. When he shows control issues (and he clearly did from what I can tell) there should be someone up and ready to replace him if the "wheels come off"
  3. I'll take the rain simply because I rent and don't have to deal with flooding. (Nothing in the basement and I don't have to shovel) Can you imagine how much snow this would have been? 10 inches of rain becomes how many feet of snow?
  4. DeFelice should be no more then Spurling of last year. A Mop up guy. He doesn't have really anything to throw at a leftie so his effectiveness is down. But we all know how well the BP is used. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  5. Thanks guys. (Sorry about the title casey, I didn't have enough coffee in me yet). I'm hoping Riske can turn it around like he did in the past second halfs. You can never have enough good BP arms.
  6. I haven't heard anything about him for awhile. I believe he was put on the 15 day DL on May 15th. It's now June 9th over the 15 day DL stint. Does anyone have any new information? I've been with out interweb tubes except at work during the past week. So my daily intake of Brewers news is limited. (unambigufied thread title --1992)
  7. I missed the game last night, what happened in the 8th besides being full of fail.
  8. Atta boys, way to start digging out of the hole. Lets keep it going. Small ball!
  9. Wow.. guess god hates me. No FSN yet as cable isn't installed till Tuesday. To my surprise, WMLW. That was 2 bad back to back pitches by Bush. At least it's early?
  10. No FSN till Tuesday. Stupid moving. So Radio it is then.. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  11. With Sheets injury past I hope they FO and Sheets can come up with a reasonable deal as he's missed a lot of playing time. I think a 3 or 4 year deal for Sheeters seems reasonable enough perhaps with IP clauses to increase his salary. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. Manny, Please pitch deep into the game. Take a page from McClungs very good showing last night. Free Bill Hall.
  13. Yep Hawing. 331 Row 2. So you were just a stone throw away, probably heard the annoying kids at the top of 332. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I'm indifferent of the Club Level. There seems to be a higher percentage of people just "at the game" instead of being there for the game. But mixed in are a bunch of good fans, they just seem a bit harder to find. Once I get a McDonalds senior discount I'd definitely get club level tickets. A/C in the concourse, very nice bathroom with no line, food delivered too you, and low percentage of wave participation. But since I'm youngish, I still prefer the stands in Loge. Seem to have a decent mix of fan fans, and fun people to keep it interesting.
  14. I was at the game. (I know I'm late at the party, no tubes at the new place yet). But there was a smattering of applause at each at bat and when he took the mound. A decent applause when he left the game. I was up in Club and a few people commented "You really seem to like Doug Davis eh?". I replied "The man beat cancer and was a former Brewer.", "Ohh I didn't know that". And proceeded to then give the man his dues!
  15. Yeah that was totally a long game. I was thinking, I should get to bed. But the game kept going. I'm glad Pitt won, nothing would make me happier then watching the hearts of the Wings fan cringe when they lose in Game 7.
  16. I just wanted to endorse the Club Level Nachos Grande. I sat last night in the Club level, and decided to order the Nachos Grande. Being a big fan of the delicious Cactus League Nachos I prepared myself for some disappointment, and the eventual realization that I should have just walked down to the Loge level and got said nachos. But to my shock and awe, this came to me. http://mail.westernind.com/ClubNachosGrande.jpg Behold.. the new king of Nachos at Miller Park. The Club Level Nachos Grande is, I'd say about 2 times the size of the Cactus league (The picture doesn't do justice on just how massive it is). It's basically the Cactus League Nachos with olives, and a cool tasteful sour creme addition to the top. It was so much Nacho that it took 2 people to eat them all! So for you that get to sit in the Club Level, I highly recommend the Nachos.
  17. Welcome Back DD. Way to beat Cancer! You'll get a standing O from me, but after that, mortal enemies till we win. :P
  18. IIRC, a team from UWM was brought in a bunch of eningeering students before Miller Park was opened. They measured distances to certain objects in the park and use that to base their distance. So a towering pop fly that hits say the Road runner sign and a line drive still rising that hits the road runner sign (Branyan can do it dang it!) will have the same measurement. I believe they give it the measurement based on what "zone" is closest. I can't remember where I read it, but I think that's the way they did it. I guess I could fire up google, but that's work.
  19. Nope they lost it on the fly. They showed the second deck of the Bleachers. But BA and the crew kept pointing out the dew deck when talking about it. Shame I wanted to see that blast.
  20. Sure looks broken. is WMLM in delicious HD OTA? I'm trying to avoid opening boxes to find my OTA antenna.
  21. That is freaking rad. Go buy lotto tickets immediately. So if 3TO doesn't 3TO tonight it's your fault?
  22. Werd. I'm not super awesome at photoshop just clown around with it at times. And how dare you take his holiness the 3TO out of the picture Mh. I think you just unleashed some kind of curse.
  23. That's awfully nice of you H4P! Works being stingy with our season tickets so I can't give back so far! I already have tickets or I'd be eyeing yours up. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
