I'm resigned to the fact that we're not going to score on bonderman, but we've got to make him work a little bit for outs in the 7th and 8th so we can get into the bullpen.
Wow, too bad we're facing Bonderman, he's going to overshadow how awesome Davis is throwing tonight. This has got to be the best he's pitched this season by far. Hopefully we can scratch out a run or two here!
*FEWSH* Man, oh man... one gets the feeling that the only thing keeping T-Bow in that closer's role is the complete and utter lack of any other pitching talent in that bullpen. Mike Adams didn't have this long of a leash last year, that's for sure.
Fewsh...I get the feeling we escaped there. Sure would like to see Turnbow get through an inning in less than 20 pitches someday. If I'm Nedley, I'm thinking about giving Kolb a look in the closer role the next time Turnbow blows a save and costs us a game.
Couldn't agree more. Not sure at what point the stat guys will say we have a "large enough sample size" to determine definitively that Brady stinks, but I think it is fair to say that the evidence is mounting. Let him come off the bench.
Wow, I'm getting a rare opportunity to watch the brewers on TV here (I live down in Texas)... Rickie looked great on that double play. He just flicked that ball down to first with almost no apparent effort. I hope he can exorcise whatever mental demons he's got going in the field, because there's no doubt the guy can play. Edit: spelling
I was just thinking that same thing. Too late to change anything now, but you ought to not be able to give up any more runs than you have full innings pitched. That wasn't so much a "save" as it was a "near miss" Edit: And I wish my browser would stop defaulting to "angry face" in the subject.
