okay, derrick, you had a couple of runs to play with, and you played with them. Turn the screws on Giles here. Edit: heh....guess my internet connection is lagging a bit here.
Way to go, Matt! I can't believe he hung in there and got him. As my old high school coach used to say, "if a guy fouls off 8 pitches on you, you're not gonna fool him...just plunk him."
Dangit...would have liked to have made them pay a little more than that for walking 3 guys, but oh well. 3 runs **SHOULD** be enough. (crossing fingers...rubbing rabbit's foot...)
Wow I can't believe how long I've been slumming it with CBS sportsline. Thanks again, guys. MLB.com Gameday is rocking my world here. I feel like I arrived a day late to the party, but oh well.
aaah, Gameday. Much better. Thanks, guys! I'd seen that mentioned here before but I always assumed people were referring to the live video broadcast thingy.
Man, I hate how whenever anything remotely out of the ordinary happens, the SportsLine "live" gamecenter falls behind by about 10 minutes while they figure out what to do. It's still stuck on a 2-1 count to Moeller. Anyone know of a better online game summary than sportsline?
Crap. Still, a nice outing by Sheets. If we can get him, Bush, and Cappy firing on all cylinders simultaneously, maybe we can withstand Doug Davis' apparent nuclear meltdown. P.S. Get those bats going, boys!
....aaaand the leadoff hole continues to be the kiss of death to anyone who occupies it. Since our 11-run outburst against Cincy, the leadoff spot is 0 for 14.
Ooof...can't watch or listen today, all I've got is the sportsline updates, but "Moeller grounded out to catcher" does not sound like he put much of a swing on that one.
