Well as poor as Davis' outing was, we're still right in this game. If you'd have told me he would have walked 8 men through 4, and we hadn't scored in the meantime, I would have figured we were down by 7 or 8 runs by that point. Wake up, offense!
  2. mastershake76
ugh. Well it was only a matter of time until those walks started really hurting. Sucks to have it come on an error though.

Me too...but maybe it's not all his fault. He's certainly not playing well right now, but I think he's kind of a square peg being crammed into that round-shaped leadoff hole. Who needs a leadoff guy who can't get on base, and couldn't steal a base if his life depended on it? I'm not sure where a better place for him would be, but he's just not getting it done at the top of the order.

Time for Brady Clark to shut up all of the folks calling for Gabe Gross....like me. Come on Brady, get us going here.

Well, I can't keep my venom and vitriol in check any longer. I'm off to the venting thread. Have a nice night, folks!

    .....fighting....urge.....to bash.....Jenkins.....

Good thing he got that last out before getting sent down to nashville tomorrow or his ERA would have been a "divide by zero" error. edit: oops, forgot he pitched the other day. But I stand by my snotty comment.

oh my. Hope you enjoyed your stay in scenic Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mike. Have a nice flight back to Nashville.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah *crams ball point pen through skull*
  10. mastershake76
hmm...that's twice in a row that we've called for the DP ball, and that's 2 strikeouts. I think I get how this works... COME ON, JDLR, DOUBLE PLAY BALL HERE!
  11. mastershake76
Dangit....I knew I said I would stay away but I can't. Even when we are frustrating as all hell like this, the brewers are like crack to me. Come on, double play ball here!

Alright, I'm taking one for the team here. I'm out for the night, I'll just check the final score. Every time I leave to check up on the kids, we put together a rally. Every time I come back to the computer to catch up on the action, we give up a truckload of runs.
  13. mastershake76
Well, after gettting those distracting runners off the basepaths, Lehr settled in nicely there. off>
  14. mastershake76
How come we always get hitting on the days we have no pitching, and pitching on the days we have no hitting? It would be nice to get both every now and then...Last night being the exception that proves the rule.
  15. mastershake76
    *hoof* ouch, that hurt.
  16. mastershake76
oh lord. Bullpen time I hope? Ohka's had it.
  17. mastershake76
ugh...not sure I wouldn't rather just walk Dunn here...load'em up, what's the difference.
  18. mastershake76
Man, Ohka is getting shelled...we're fortunate to only have 2 runs against us.
  19. mastershake76
Gotta be encouraged by the fact that Brady was finally setting the table tonight, even if 2 and 3 weren't picking him up. Weeks had some nice AB's, too.
  20. mastershake76
3-6, even. It keeps getting better and better the more we look at it!
  21. mastershake76
Anyone know of an Astros message board? I'd be curious to see if Wilson is getting "The Jenkins Treatment" from the foamy-mouthed masses down there...
  22. mastershake76
D'oh! Well, it wouldn't be a turnbow 9th without a couple of baserunners here and there.
  23. mastershake76
I think we should petition the league to make the rest of the games from here on out consist of only the last two innings.
  24. mastershake76
hehe... yeah, life is full of little anomalies, isn't it?
  25. mastershake76
Wow! Whatever Cirillo had for breakfast, I think Miller must have sneaked some off his plate. Not often we see 5 hits out of our 7 and 8 hitters...
