  1. Yeah, 17 points is going to be plenty.
  2. No one: Luke Fickell: “Let’s hand the ball off from the opponents’ 34 on 3rd and 9 down by 10 and then punt.”
  3. Simmons, wow. You can’t throw that ball.
  4. And I was wrong. He was in. Wow.
  5. I had next to zero confidence about converting that 4th and goal.
  6. And that’s the ceiling, which is kind of the problem.
  7. Badly. I will be both sad and mad.
  8. I’m definitely not a member of the “bring back Adrian Griffin” club. But Khris Middleton is not the difference between this club being 30-13 and being a play-in tournament team. The best thing I can say about the Bucks of this era is that they did win a championship. So it was not all for nothing. But at this point, yeah. There’s really no path forward except to trade Giannis, take some major lumps in the next 5 years, invest entirely in a youth movement and hopefully by 2031 when you have 1sts again you’ve found a building block or two to start with.
  9. Haven’t looked at what their run blocking is but it has to be off the charts which I’m guessing is their big X factor. Swift and Monangai are nice but not JT and McCaffrey like they look like behind that line.
  10. I’m still not a big Caleb Williams guy. I think Jordan Love is hands down better and I think Love has his warts. The weapon are pretty legit, which is why I think it’s kind of alarming that Caleb is as inaccurate as he is. His mobility helps and I think Ben Johnson gets the most he can out of him.
  11. The irony is that the turning point for this team was when they fired Adrian Griffin. They were 30-13 at that point in the 2023 season. Really not that long ago. That was even with all the defensive issues and Giannis and Dame really not meshing. Not saying Griffin was the right guy, but Doc has come in and completely run this team into the ground.
  12. Well at least we can dream on hitting it big with all our upcoming lottery pi…. Oh, wait.
  13. The Bears are having a great game. I remain pretty confident that we will win 1-2 games against them.
  14. It’s kind of annoying that when we finally have a season where all the tiebreakers would be lining up our way (3-0 division record), we have an actual tie on our record, so the tiebreakers are moot.
  15. Well, my assumption based on him accepting the QO and not rolling the dice on free agency would be that he prefers to be here.
  16. Those of you who were dead set against acquiring George Pickens cheap this offseason… feel differently now?
  17. I guess the only point I really wanted to make is that the Brewers can afford to spent $130M-$140M on payroll for a season and it is not going to hurt them.
  18. Also, Mark A has been an awesome owner for the Brewers. Still is. Glad we have him, But I hope he doesn’t echo comments like this, because it would make him look quite out of touch. You’re a really rich dude and you spent about 40% of your revenue on payroll last year. The Brewers will be really good next year and still make you more money. You and your fellow investors can carry a $136M payroll for one season. It will be okay.
  19. Looks like I wasn’t too far off with the Tiger King “ I am never going to financially recover from this” meme when Woodruff accepted a QO.
  20. The punt play and 3rd down play are going to take probably 15 combined seconds, so I’d say about 1:05 when they get it back. Obviously can’t predict the field position but Whelan is very good and I’d guess pins it around the 10. I know people would have been nervous and I would have been among them but that would have been extremely high percentage for our defense. Have to go 90 yards, try to work the sidelines so we’re going to try to funnel everything to the middle and at worst it probably comes down to a Hail Mary attempt.
  21. It wouldn’t have been a bad idea, but if you’re going to go the sideline at all you better pick up the first. If it’s not there you just go down.
  22. My personal call would have been to run it on 3rd and 3, and if you convert it’s over, if you don’t you can take the delay and hopefully pin them inside their 10 with a minute or so left and no timeouts. But obviously happy it worked out.
  23. Again, Gary is garbage. Giving up the edge on 3rd and 6.
