He’s throwing some that are not in fact touching the zone at all.

Pratt tap your head, man. That wasn’t even close.
  3. adambr2
So, assuming a Group win at this point, what are the potential draws for the next round looking like?
  4. adambr2
Should be able to exceed that this year. Although I imagine the focus against Turkey will be rest and health moreso than points.
  5. adambr2
Have we even scored 6 total goals in any previous World Cup?
  6. adambr2
Maybe Lara just set the bar too high in April and May, but he has really been going through it in June.
  7. adambr2
He’s the gold standard for that too, but if we’re going to be fair and impartial (and I can’t stand the guy too), yeah. His defense alone is worth about 2 wins a year. Essentially prime Mike Cameron.

It’s a good reminder though, that even the best of the best defenders have their “ugh, what was THAT?” moments. PCA is pretty much the gold standard for outfield defense and he’s had several moments just against the Brewers this year that were pure comedy.

Well, going 1 for 12 with runners in scoring position did not help. They had 15 baserunners today. The opportunities were there.

I’d be lying if I said this didn’t cross my mind

I’d like to think that the Brewer fanbase has evolved to a point where we have a pretty good understanding of why guys that most fans have never heard of are getting long-term contracts while the guys they know about aren’t. I don’t really know, though, how many fans still consist of mostly casuals who are just there for the big names.

Not sure he’s going to be lineup worthy for that long. He's already probably a guy who should be sliding down the order and we know that the reasons he isn’t are more political than production related.
  13. adambr2
Which is why we should generally stay away from those deals.
  14. adambr2
A .779 OPS and 5 dingers isn’t good enough for a guy who makes 25 million a year and hogs the DH spot on a nightly basis because he can’t field any position adequately.
  15. adambr2
Bout as un-clutch of an AB by Yeli as you can have.
  16. adambr2
No need, they pulled him back for Contreras.
  17. adambr2
They are. Mitchell, now William to go for it. What am I missing?
  18. adambr2
It was definitely a ball, but not far enough out where we can be certain that it would have been called that way, Thank Sanchez for two bad challenges.
  19. adambr2
Twice. Just too many missed opportunities today. Getting 3 walks and an HBP in a single inning is an absolute gift. Somehow coming away with nothing to show for any of it is inexplicable.
  20. adambr2
    We did not,
  21. adambr2
You were brought in for the LHB, Rom. You had one freaking job.

Stop letting Gary challenge. Do something about it, Murphy. It’s every game he catches.
  24. adambr2
They also had Bauers on 3rd base with nobody out and could not drive him in. They had Yelich in scoring position with nobody out and the heart of the order up and could not drive him in. They had Perkins in scoring position with nobody out and could not drive him in. The reasons are plentiful why the Brewers are not winning this game and are not limited to Jackson Chourio not catching a deep solo HR at the fence.

Happens when you leave a pitch right down the middle of the plate.
