  1. Collins isn’t really the guy we want up here with the way he’s been swinging the bat. But here we go…
  2. If we are already conceding game 5 to the Cubs in which we have Priester going, that’s a problem.
  3. Similar to yesterday . Plenty of traffic early but can’t capitalize, and no threats at all late.
  4. My fear is the Cubs’ schedule won’t leave much margin for error in September. It’s insanely easy.
  5. I think I’d prefer Lockridge, who at least forces some pitches, over Perkins right now, who just isn’t offering anything right now.
  6. Despite the limited offense today, it’s been a very hitter friendly strike zone.
  7. And I’m not upset at all about the 1 hit that was allowed. It was the 3 walks that preceded it.
  8. I mean he threw Bill a tomato. I would hope he could hit it hard. Hard hot balls on the ground are still going to result in two outs with a slow hitter and runners on. Gotta elevate it.
  9. I think it’s probably an individual thing. For some guys, they probably aren’t fazed, but for others, I can’t help but think losing 4 of 5 and letting them back in it would get into their heads a little bit.
  10. I don’t think we are in trouble, but I guess it depends on what your expectations are for the squad. Agreed that what we were doing before wasn’t sustainable. But I also get why despite having the best record in baseball, oddsmakers prefer teams like the Dodgers and Phillies as WS favorites over us.
  11. They certainly won’t “blow past us”, but the Crew really needs to salvage a win tonight or tomorrow. Blowing 4 games in 3 days would be pretty mentally deflating, and the Cubs have the tiebreaker and the cupcake schedule to erase a 5 game lead in September.
  12. Just a few days ago we were talking about how we were possibly going to find ABs for all these amazing outfielders on our roster once Chourio returned. How quickly things can change.
