  1. Looks like they’ll lose, but they WERE up by 20 at one point. Does that count?
  2. Taking last shot with too much time for it to be last shot and giving up last shot on the other end instead is a perfect way to end that quarter.
  3. No Lillard for the foreseeable future means downgrade the Bucks from a 5/6 seed to a play-in tournament team indefinitely. The fall has been swift.
  4. I haven’t heard ACL. I heard Achilles.
  5. Didn’t we win that useless NBA cup thing a few months ago? At least there’s that.
  6. So much for Dame returning helping us in any way. He may have torn his Achilles. Being a fan of this team sure is fun.
  7. Man, I have a special nostalgia for the Brewers of 20 years ago. I think I may have enjoyed them more than any other team in my life. Weeks was here, Hardy was here, Prince was starting to get here. Braun was drafted. The foundation was being laid. The team won 81 games which was seen as a monumental accomplishment at that time. You knew they weren’t quite there yet, because the pitching wasn’t quite there but there was a buzz finally that hadn’t been seen in forever. Miller Park was still very new. It was essentially the beginning of the post-Selig era. Everything was very exciting.
  8. When you roster guys like Vinny Capra and send them up to the plate in big situations in the 9th inning, you reap what you sow.
  9. Seth Rollins is kind of a … yeah, but no one has been trying to pretend that wrestling is real in like 25 years. They’ve long embraced the “entertainment” label.
  10. Now I definitely don’t believe Giannis is going anywhere. Neither is Doc anytime soon. The entire Horst extension article screams “we know we are destined for the 6 seed and a first round exit for the rest of the Giannis era, and we are fine with that.”
  11. Just taking another look at your short posting history again, all you ever do is : - Post laughing emojis and ridicule other posters - Rip on anyone who vents about anything - Thumbs down post after post Why are you even here?
  12. We should absolutely go after George Pickens this weekend if the price is right.
  13. Well, it’s not like the Bucks were loaded with bench talent when they won it all in 2021. Obviously, Middleton was a completely different player then and that’s probably the biggest difference. And as talented as Lillard is, he’s just not the fit here that Jrue was. I’m not saying this mess is Doc’s fault, but he’s clearly one of the worst coaches in the NBA. I agree that he’s getting the most that he is able to out of what he has, and that’s the problem — he’s never been able to get much out of what he has because he’s just not a very good head coach. Someone said, can’t remember if it was here or somewhere else, that Griffin should have been given the entire ‘23-‘24 season and then if it was clear that we needed to move on, a real coaching search should have been conducted then. I pretty much agree with that take. I don’t know what the future holds, I don’t know if Giannis will be back next year but it is clear that the Milwaukee Bucks are going nowhere anytime soon. So, be glad we won that title I suppose, because this would all hurt much worse if we hadn’t come back against Phoenix down 2-0.
  14. And that falls on Horst.
  15. Apparently Doc didn’t have a revelation and learn how to coach between Games 1 and 2.
  16. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nba/article/kyle-kuzma-plays-one-of-the-worst-games-in-playoff-history-records-zero-counting-stats-in-bucks-loss-to-pacers-204611678.html This is the guy who is going to give us a real shot?
  17. Well, they don’t control their own 1st again until 2031. So probably 5 years out from that is where they COULD start building something again IF they hit lottery gold at least once or twice in the 2030s.
  18. I couldn’t blame Giannis for a second if he wants out. The organization had the hard part done for them, they had their franchise player. All they needed to do was assemble a good supporting cast around him, and they failed. They opted for veterans every time they had a chance to build with youth and now they painted themselves into a corner with no way out. Giannis isn’t stupid. He knows they’ve already used up every piece of ammo that they could possibly use to build around him. He’ll by staring down retirement by the time they can build a young nucleus again.
  19. Yeah, the Bucks aren’t going to be hanging around long enough with Indiana to worry about Lillard making a significant impact in this series. They’ll be lucky to win 2 games, let alone 4. Not an ideal time of year to have the worst head coach in the NBA.
  20. Or Doc will just keep Portis and Porter on the bench anyway.
  21. 3 minutes for Portis in the 1st is criminal. Is Doc aware that this is a playoff game and not the last regular season game?
  22. I’m not saying they didn’t do him dirty, but … you asked for a trade to arguably the most dysfunctional franchise in the NFL. What did you expect?
  23. It would be interesting to debate sometime how much an above average or below average HC/manager makes a difference in your win/loss total over a season in the NFL/NBA/MLB. Maybe there’s too many variables to quantify, since the fit and situation matter, too. I mean Bud won 60 games with the Bucks in a season and only 36 with a pretty talented Suns team with 2 superstars.
  24. I don’t believe the Packers are the worst in the NFL at drafting. However, I also concur that they are far worse than most fans believe. My impression of Gute off memory alone without much research is that he is probably average to above average on Days 2 and 3, and one of the worst in the league in the 1st round. Unfortunately, that’s your best chance at an impact player and that checks out with their results the last decade — plenty of decent roster contributors, not nearly enough elite impact players. Food for thought — the best 1st round pick in the Brian Gutekunst era is a still young corner that we are debating cutting for nothing rather than dealing with his antics and constant injuries another year. That’s not good.
  25. https://www.si.com/nfl/packers/study-concludes-packers-have-had-worst-drafts-over-last-decade Not sure if this was posted yet, and if it was, I’m sure there was/will be some significant protesting/hand wringing over it. I totally get that it’s just one subjective measurement, but I think it paints a pretty accurate picture that the front office has not done a good enough job for a draft and development team over the last decade.
