    30-35 yard FGs should be a gimme. NFL kickers these days are just too good to employ a guy who regularly makes 30-35 yard kicks look like an adventure.

    Went back and looked and this umpire has botched 11 ball/strike calls tonight, 7 against us and 4 for us. Just another day at the office for an MLB umpire.

    Civale has not been good tonight, but he's been awfully lucky. Very fortunate to get out of that inning with a 4 run lead.

    I think it's unlikely that Mears will be DFA'ed this year. However, I would expect him to have to earn a bullpen spot next year and not be a lock.
