  1. They'll get it but I don't know why they are even bothering to challenge as Jimmy G could have driven a truck through that hole that the Packers defensive line presented on 4th and 1.
  2. We can't just throw the ball downfield on 3rd and 11 for something that has a chance to convert?
  3. Pass rush has come up big on 3rd down.
  4. Maybe there's a reason Rodgers was always calling audibles at the line.
  5. It's every single time we start sustaining a good drive, we fart around with something cute and kill the drive.
  6. Walker is a total turnstile. Very happy with Anders this year so far, knock on wood.
  7. There's better reason to just go for it.
  8. The "try to draw them off on 4th and short instead of actually going for it" might be more effective if it wasn't your go-to in that situation every single time.
  9. That's the benefit you earn when you don't require all your young presumed future QBs to spend 3 seasons holding a clipboard behind the incumbent starter.
  10. What is up with Jones?
  11. 3 wild cards, not 2...makes a big difference when you get down to the real marginal contenders.
  12. I'd disagree-- Dallas looks pretty likely to make it to me ....Pittsburgh sucks, but they lead their division, somehow. The Rams look pretty competent to me and got Kupp back. I don't know if they'll make the playoffs, but I could see 9-8 and a shot.
  13. I don't know who you want to see them play, but this is a pretty convincing dismantling. Yeah it's true that teams like the Eagles or Dolphins could potentially give them a fight-- that's just the NFL, too much parity to see a 20-0 team, I think. It's not like they've played the Broncos, Bears, Panthers and Cardinals to start the season. I don't think there's really any downplaying how good they look. It's true that who you look like in Week 5 isn't necessarily the same team as you'll see in January.
  14. As much as I hate the 49ers I have to envy what they've built as an organization because they are so far ahead of us (and most others) that it's really hard to even have any realistic Super Bowl aspirations anytime soon. You can pick apart a weakness on basically any team and they just do not have one. I guess all I can say is thank goodness they whiffed so badly on Trey Lance and gave up so much to get him because God only knows how they'd look if they hadn't done that.
  15. Peacock is so worth it. That's one I don't have a problem paying 6 bucks a month for. To be fair I'm a WWE fan and would get it just for that content alone.
  16. Kind of an odd point to make immediately after getting swept out of the first round of the playoffs because we didn't get enough hitting.
  17. https://www.brewcrewball.com/2021/10/8/22711390/what-the-experts-are-predicting-for-the-milwaukee-brewers-in-the-mlb-playoffs Just to revisit, these were expert predictions for Brewers/Braves in 2021. Now if you thought the Braves were better all along, that's fine, but the general consensus was that the Brewers had at least as good of a chance to win the series as the Braves. That's my only issue, with the hindsight being "well they just ran into much better teams". No, most of these series' were winnable and they choked. Or at least, always found a way to lose.
  18. Pretty easy to say in hindsight that the other teams were better but that generally wasn't the perception. The 2021 Brewers had 8 more wins than the Braves, who went on to win the World Series. They got hot, we didn't. They had more wins in 2018 than the Dodgers. They had HFA in both of those series'. The 2019 Brewers/Nationals was about as close to a wash as can be. It's not like they just ran into juggernauts and were outmatched in so many of these, that's not what happened at all. There wasn't a single playoff since 2018 that they went into with folks thinking they were outmatched, that is revisionist history. If they had won this series and faced the Dodgers or Braves I think that would have qualified, but that would have been the first.
  19. "Craig, you guys sure battled the last two days. What would you say is your favorite flavor of ice cream?"
  20. Counsell probably visibly frustrated that he already burned Winker and is now forced to let Contreras bat.
  21. Craig Counsell now 1-5 in playoff series' as a manager and 0-5 in WC games. He flat out doesn't understand the difference between managing in the regular season and managing in the playoffs.
  22. How would they make room for necessities like Jesse Winker and Brice Turang?
  23. You guys didn't really think that inning was going to end in anything other than a massively deflating goose egg, did you?
  24. Once we lost Game 1 this was always predictable. The matchups dictated that we needed Game 1. There was never going to be a "let's go get 'em tomorrow!"
