    This is one where points can be pretty misleading. 7 were from a defensive touchdown. Then it was really Baltimore winning field position big time. They had less than 250 yards offense, but every TD drive but one was under 37 yards.

    Jansen sucks in every way. You already see what you’re losing with his pitch calling with Contreras out.

    You can if most of that was built on like a 31-4 stretch. I mean I’m embellishing, probably, but if you lose like 7 out of your last 9 games, for example, and barely hold onto the 1 because your competition is losing, that’s kind of the definition of backing into the 1.

    Man, you’d like to get a little more speed out of your pinch runner than that. Looked like Mona should have been able to take 2nd with little issue.

    Ashby’s usage the last month has been… odd. It’s been like Murphy can’t decide if he wants him to be a long man or a 1 inning man.

    Can’t decide whether the Tigers or Mets have pulled the bigger choke job this month.

    Whether we like him or not, the Brewers have made their bed with him at SS for this season. We know he’s going to be out there basically every night in the postseason, so we can only hope he can get a little hot with the bat.

    Love the AB. Fell behind, tough matchup for him and still managed to claw back in it and get the RBI.

    Oh, they’ll back into the division, they’re far enough ahead and the Cubs are not good enough to catch them. But they won’t back into the 1 seed, the Phillies are too good. Either go out and earn the 1 or be happy with the 2, because this isn’t going to be good enough to hold onto the 1.

    Have to be better with runners in scoring position. Just have to. It’s becoming WAY too commonplace to see a leadoff runner on 2nd still standing there when the inning ends.

    Well we now know at least 1 thing about Maryland. They are much better than UW.

    Really sad to see how far the Badger football program has fallen. This feels like rock bottom, but there’s probably further to go.

    Can’t really say that anyone with a 64 OPS+ is ever really due for a hit. More like the blind squirrel occasionally finding the proverbial nut.

    Turang is striking out at a much higher historical rate than in the past. However, if that’s the trade off for the extra power he’s shown this year, I will take it.
