  1. Everyone else did some semblance of doing their job that inning, even if it was just making contact, and with the game on the line Yelich gave us that albatross.
  2. Swing at a pitch at your ankles and then take a pitch right down the middle. Are you a 21 year old rookie, Yelich?
  3. Yeah extras is the minimum expectation at this point. But I’d much rather win it now.
  4. Every time we’ve put something together tonight, we give it right back. Thankful to the Rays today, because this team needs all the help it can get right now. The Brewers are not playing good baseball.
  5. Where is this amazing platinum glove from Brice Turang? That wasn’t even one that required a bunch of range to knock down.
  6. Did they have a righty up that they were going to if Vaughn came in? I mean, I’m trying to understand as well.
  7. If most sac flies was the criteria for winning baseball games, we’d be all set tonight.
  8. Well, you’ve got the tying run at the plate with nobody out. You aren’t going to get a better (and probably another) shot at getting back in this in a hurry.
  9. I wish Chourio had shown the kind of discipline and patience he showed there when he was up earlier with the bases loaded.
  10. I think we all assumed Mona had at least earned a few starts a week rotating at 2-3 positions when Ortiz came back. I’ve been really disappointed with Murphy’s process on that.
  11. Like I said, I know Bauers has been playing decently. But this isn’t a guy who is going to go on the kind of streak that Vaughn did and carry the offense for an extended period.
  12. I refuse to believe that the moment Jake Bauers finally returned from IL being exactly when we started going from elite to mediocre is a coincidence. (Yes, I know he’s been playing well).
  13. I think at this point, the Phillies will pass us. We do have the tiebreaker, so there’s a tiny cushion there, but they’re just playing too well. They’d have to hit a skid in a hurry. It doesn’t really matter whether we’re the 2 or 1. We’ll get dusted in the NLDS quickly the way we’re playing. Play the way we were playing in July and we can win it all. Play this way and it will be a quick exit.
  14. Not going to come close with a single sac fly every time we have a chance at a big inning.
