  1. Yeah, I mean I get the calls for Megill to be out as closer, he looks horrific. but…. Uribe hasn’t been good. Zerpa hasn’t been good. So.. Grant Anderson? We need someone other than Ashby. The entire bullpen needs to get better or it won’t matter much what Megill is doing.
  2. I agree Megill should not be closing games anymore, but this bullpen overall is looking like a serious liability. It’s not like Uribe’s performances lately have a lot going for them, either.
  3. lol… bottom of the order. He was facing the bottom of the order. Still hasn’t retired a batter, and we are headed for 6 in a row.
  4. “Megill is our 9th inning guy” - Murphy tonight, probably
  5. Hard to play small ball when your small ball guys like Hamilton don’t get on base at all.
  6. I actually think the Yelich injury doesn’t hurt as badly as it looks on the surface, because it opens up Sanchez to just DH everyday. Which presumably also keeps him away from first base, so, win/win there.
  7. Too bad he’s somehow worse offensively than he was last year.
  8. I’m honestly fine with a complete overhaul at the bottom of the roster. Get Jett up, get Pratt up. Yes, I know the results may not be any better at first, but they’re not going to be any worse than what we’re getting from 3 or 4 of our existing guys, and they’re part of our future. Matos and Hamilton are not. I’d rather take my lumps with the guys here for the long haul and let them get used to it here. Matos, Rengifo, Perkins, Lockridge, Hamilton, Ortiz and Jones are all anywhere between AAA replacement level players or borderline MLB players. It is really hard to win when half of your position player group is that weak.
  9. Take your pick, none of Rengifo, Matos or Perkins belong on an MLB roster.
  10. The bottom 3 guys on this roster are just atrocious.
  11. Nice job by Hall. They clearly still have some faith in him. Either that or Ashby simply cannot pitch in every game and every situation.
  12. Probably had last start in mind. That’s really the moment the last week where everything just kind of fell apart and started the tailspin.
  13. If we lose this game, this was the inning. We had Gausman on the ropes and Turang and Sanchez had some really poor impatient ABs.
  14. Oh Brice. That’s a potential couple run swing on that chase. Ouch.
  15. Jett Williams finally having a really nice game for Nashville tonight. Let’s hope he can keep it up because there is opportunity there.
  16. Sometimes your pitcher throws a bad pitch ahead in the count and pays for it and you say “bad pitch, deserved result.” That was not one of those times.
  17. Like I said, he’s one of our better offensive players now, and I don’t really know how to feel about that.
  18. I miss when Jake Bauers was the whipping boy on this offense rather than one of the better offensive pieces. Luis Matos has a .282 OPS. Not his batting average or even his OBP. His OPS.
  19. The Brewers’ training staff should have a medical showdown with the Packers’ training staff to determine the worst training staff in professional sports.
  20. These guys have got to get a little better at recognizing missed balls and strikes and picking their spots.
