  1. Try to tell me that guy (Hardy) isn't on fire right now.
  2. This will probably be a rather unpopular thread; I know his numbers are coming around a bit now, but I am sure that many on this forum thought he would be a bit more. The guy looks heavier than I have ever seen him. If that's what a no meat diet does to a man good lord. I guess I am not as worried about his stick as I am his defense and overall health. He is all about 24 years old. I know some of these things have been hinted at and suggested in other threads, I just wanted to get some concentrated feedback. Should we be looking to unload this guy soon?
  3. what a fitting ending to a crap game
  4. People may think it a waste of his physical tools, but I wouldn't mind seeing Hart at that position. With the added length and reach may save a few extra errors, not to mention maybe snag a few liners or grounders destined to go for doubles.
  5. Tavarez obviously not interested in throwing any strikes tonight
  6. Hey call to the bullpen!!!! Great timing!!!!
  7. That was a less than inspiring inning
  8. Yes, he's 4-0 at home. I didn't realize that until you pointed it out. I hope I don't hex him by coming to the game.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif Unless I missed something,...I thought his record was 2-6?
  9. Excellent offensive execution, I love the line of 3runs off 11 hits. Plus the two errors is a bonus on the line
  10. Carlos is a battler...that is why he was kept out there
  11. If CV gets out of this, we'll never hear the end of it because Yost SHOULD HAVE gone to the Loogy
  12. Wow, Mota gets to give up 3 runs in 1/3 of an inning before getting pulled.
  13. Doing a shot every time I hear Bob or Jim say "hanging breaking ball" or "hainging curve" today. Bush has been historically poor on the road if I remember correctly.
  14. I am starting think that Hart at first when LaPorta comes up might be the way to go, but then Prince will kick it into gear and I will shut up and pretend I never said anything.
  15. Why us Torres piching back to back nights his arm must be toast
  16. I am starting to think that Villy is just Vargas but works faster.
  17. While it is good to use a collegiate career to displace minor league AB's, I think it is a little misleading to compare Southern University (I-AA) to say the caliber of AB's Ryan Braun received at Miami. While I am not belittling the great things Rickie did there he may have been rushed because 2nd base was a deficiency at the big league level at the time. Look how long it took for Bill Hall to get straightened out. Not that it is a direct comparison but we have another player not unlike Rickie Weeks in Mike Goetz in Helena who won the batting crown while playing for UW-Milwaukee if I am not mistaken. Toolsey player who has plate discipline and speed, but not nearly touted because the level he played at. To say a player who excelled at a school with an enrollment of 9,000 in the SWAC conference gets the same AB's as someone in a power conference may be pushing it.
  18. I think I just heard Jim say that this was the first series win for the Crew since April. While I am happy that they are going to win the series, that is a really sad stat.
  19. and Loretta was solid. Yes he was, unfortunately the Lopes-Royster managerial dynasty saw fit to have him on the bench way too often.
  20. I think Gabe will come back up with the expanded roster, but I am hopeful he is the heir apparent to Jenkins in left until LaPorta is ready.
  21. I do think that I remember in an interview he did when still with the Brewers that he said that the needed "nutrition" was more affordable to keep in shape when you in the pros. That's a slight paraphrase of course.
