  1. Just an early observation, probably nothing, but Slowey seems to be working around our left handers?
  2. I have a feeling that Slowey is going to dominate, though. A guy up from the minors who the Crew have never faced? Never happen I say...then again.
  3. If I remember correctly, this Tejada guy pitched a ST game against the Crew and went 6-7 innings with 3 hits, no runs. I know ST means nothing but not a good sign either way.
  4. Yo is definitely struggling. His line is going to freak people out tomorrow.
  5. I think this game may qualify to receive the "big bowl of crap" label.
  6. I know this probably sounds hypocritical, because I was loving it when Hardy was crushing the ball, but now that he is getting pitched away I wouldn't mind seeing him take a few more pitches, but then again maybe that's the trade off for the power he now has.
  7. Funny thing is you can look at the box an be very deceived by the pitching lines. Obviously Marquis made the pitches when they counted.
  8. &@($@( these Cubs fans. As long as all Brewers fans are going to sell their tickets to Cubs fans anyhow, we should just make these game prices TWICE what a normal game goes for. At least we can bump up the revenue a bit on the backs of these morons. Nobody is stopping you from buying tickets and sitting in the crowd at Wrigley.
  9. Usually not very critical of Yost, but I think we all saw this unravelling before our eyes.
  10. Is Miller nursing some sort of hand injury? I though that I had read something about that. I would really like to see Estrada out of the lineup today. He is slumping and I am not sure if he is getting a little run down or overworked. Even at his age I think Miller can take an extra game or two even if it is a righty.
  11. How incredible would it be if the Crew wound up winning this game 1-0 with Cappy having like 12K's? Oops sorry for the jinx. Now it looks like the batters will actually have to score runs.
  12. Unfortunately Cap has driven his pitch count up so high we are lucky if we can get 6 out of him tonight.
  13. As impressive as that first inning was the second was equally crap.
  14. If those splits mean anything to you Miller should be starting over Estrada.
  15. I was actually at that game which was a no no into the 7th. My old college roommate and I just kept looking at each other between innings in a state of shock. Almost as crazy as the Moeller cycle incident. Those were the days.
  16. Good gracious CoCo, where are my pills?
  17. Bob just said "a stout left hander."
  18. This isn't an attempt at smallball is it?
  19. I have to admit the streak is my fault. After I left for Vegas early last week the brew began their slide. My reappearance at work today should all but gurantee an end to this miserable little slide.
  20. Yep is all I can say as well go Point.
  21. I don't think that we have been swept yet this year so if we can continue that trend would be very nice. Peavy is due to have a bad performance at some time, so today would be a nice day for that to happen.
  22. I have to admit that I smiled when I saw this Padres lineup. It looked pathetic, but they sure have put the lumber to the ball tonight. I don't know if that's poor pitching or good hitting or a combination tonight.
