  1. Does anyone know the max amount tickets I can potentially purchase tomorrow? I'd like to get 5 if possible.
  2. Brewers just put Chourio on the DL so that won't be happening.
  3. Can someone explain the logic MLB used to have the westcoast game start at 3:00 pm locally while the teams playing in the central time zone don't start until 8:00 at night? It's like they are trying to get less people to watch the games.
  4. Jansen is the anti-Vaughn. In 13 games with the brewers he has 7 hits and 2 RBIs.
  5. Counsel was on the bullpen phone before the ball even hit the ground https://x.com/hunterbonair/status/1950374528414372245
  6. I'm in my early 40's and grew up in SE Wisconsin. I used to spend a lot of time on my uncle's dairy farm as a teenager in the fall. We always listened to Ueck on the radio. We all loved baseball but the brewers weren't particularly good but we just kept listening because Bob would make us laugh so much, Then about 15 years ago I moved to the Twin Cities to start grad school and I was incredibly home sick. I was driving back to my apartment one day after a night class and I was scanning through the radio stations and all of a sudden I heard Bob's voice on the radio. I almost stopped the car I was so surprised. Unbeknownst to me the SE metro area could catch the River Falls station. My homesickness instantly went away just hearing Bob's voice. Bob was home. I was so sad yesterday realizing that I'd no longer have that constant in my life anymore. In this day and age we will likely never have anything close to someone like him putting as many years in the booth as he did. As sad as I still am today, I'm just even more grateful that we had him.
  7. Pretty odd that this news broke a while ago and everyone but mlb.com has something about his death on their website.
  8. This is, personnel wise, the same team that blew out Northwestern 42-7 last year. Plus this is a northwestern team that lost their head coach and some transfers right before the season started. This is not a good coaching staff. I'm not a "fire everyone guy" but I'm ready to clean house, including the AD.
  9. Mitchell is up, Davis on IL
  10. He threw 90+ pitches the last two outings.
  11. Vogt was a 5th year senior this year so he is done.
  12. They shot 29% from the field and 8% from 3 point range. If they just shot awful instead of historically awful they win.
  13. Sounds like Rasul Douglas will be coming back now that money has been freed up.
  14. Sounds like Adams also really wanted to play with Carr who was his QB in college.
  15. This one was surprising.
  16. Joe West has retired. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/33216709/joe-west-retires-umpire-record-5460-games-roberto-ortiz-becomes-first-puerto-rican-full-ump
  17. Love isn't ready to take over yet but he has hardly shown that he'll be a bust. He had nothing but backups at his disposal in yhe second half and still almost led them from behind to beat Detroit.
  18. Both Bahktiari and Josh Meyers were practicing today. It would be great to have them paly this weekend.
  19. Quintez Cephus had multiple 100 yard games in 2019. . .
  20. Not only everything that was mentioned here, but Yelich has a full no-trade clause in his contract. So the list of teams he would be even willing to be traded to is likely very small. All this means is that he is likely to be a Brewer fir the full term of the extension so let's hope he can turn things around.
  21. According to Manfred's statement on mlb.com the owners did offer a salary floor. I assume this also means that the owners requested a salary cap but I actually can't find anything that states what exactly the owners are requesting.
  22. Corey Knebel to the Phillies on a one year deal according to their Twitter account. Didn't see any dollar amount yet.
  23. He made 81% of his fgs in 2018. League average that year was 84%. Hardly well below average.
  24. Here are a few career home/road OPS splits: Ryan Braun Home: .907 Road: .875 Kris Bryant Home: .901 Road: .876 Mike Trout Home: 1.008 Road: .992 Paul Goldschmidt Home: .920 Road: .909 Christian Yellich Home: .874 Road: .866 Nolan Arenado Home: .985 Road: .793 Outside of Arenado's insane .192 home/road differential, the most extreme difference is Braun's with a .032 better OPS at home. Also interesting, Troy Tulowitzki's last full year in Colorado his home/road OPS was 1.246/.811. In 2016, his first full year with Toronto, they were .776//747 Tulowitzki's career OPS splits was .918/.791. Saying Arenado is going to be at minimum of a .850-.875 OPS could happen but far from guaranteed.
