  1. Are we sure Bill Hall can't pitch? Because it looks like he has centerfield figured out just fine.
  2. Look at Corey hustlin' on around......this is so exciting.
  3. JJ will be the pick to click today. 2-4 with a 2 run HR in the 7th. Brewers win 4-3. .....Sheets on the other hand, gives up 3 runs, but looks shaky in doing so, but gets the win nonetheless. Capuano tomorrow worries me though...eek! GO BREWERS!
  4. Is something going on tomorrow? I had the day all planned to go to Kohl's and pick up some new socks.....looks like I'll have to rethink that plan...
  5. Thanks for the link, TC. We'll keep checking.
  6. I know I'm just piling on here, but great job with the graphics the last couple days Woogie. Thanks. Does anyone have a link to the webcast yet? For whatever reason, the outdated computers in our lab don't display Brewers.com correctly like they do on my home computer. If anyone can post a link I'd appreciate it. Josh
  7. Robert, I second your notion (at least it sounded like a notion, albeit tentative) for Babel. I thought it was really, really good. The technical aspects of it reminded me a lot of Traffic, which I didn't like at all, but whatever. Anyways, you're right, the disco scene in Babel had me mumbling to myself "wow, that's so smart, that's such a great way to shoot this". There were a few problems with it, sure, but I thought the movie was really well done and the non-linear way in which it was done worked superbly. Fast Food Nation Eh...it was okay. It obviously had an agenda, and I'm not sure the dimension of the Mexican side of the story worked very well. For me, I couldn't help be reminded during the whole movie of Thank You For Smoking, and when I have to compare the two, TYFS is just better, even though they deal with different subject matters. That said, if you can get past the agenda, this was an okay movie, but not something I'd want to see again. edit: Valpo, give Fargo another try. I saw it about a year after it first came out, and like you, was probably expecting more. However, after watching it again, and again, it's become one of my favorite movies and now I love it and watch it every other month or so. If you have the time, and interest, I really think you'll like it a lot more the second time...and of course, don't take it seriously.
  8. Three cheers for Brian fixing the time issue! Hip-hip-hooray! Hip-hip-hooray! Hip-hip......errrrr, nevermind.
  9. Team Canada....I noticed that too...kind of confusing, they almost had me reaching for my credit card before I tried just clicking on the other links. Seems like their links are messed up.
  10. Brian I just want to compliment your mad photoshop skills. Love the pics of the starters you have been posting in the game threads. Agreed. Let's just hope he doesn't have to go scrambling for any Joe Winkelsas pictures at any time this year.
  11. The audio of the game is free on MLB Webcast though, via Brewers.com....if you haven't checked it out already, do so, it's pretty neat, and still free for now. I'm pretty sure last week Yost said they were going to sit Prince for a week, so I'd imagine they are still on that timetable and we might see Prince later this week (Thursday or Friday)...perhaps in a DH type role to begin with.
  12. DH Craig Counsell Well, I think that's the coin right there....I'll be listening to the other game...a lineup with Counsell, Mench, Graff, Brady, and Weeks only bunting just doesn't excite me for some reason...go figure Thanks for the lineups, Bernie
  13. Mlb.com has Oak. webcast , both teams webcast for SF/Mil That's a plethora of webcasts! It's kind of interesting hearing the other team's point of view.....Does anyone have a three-sided coin I can use for deciding which to use?
  14. Omigod, Ryan Braun....who cares about the glove, just get him in the lineup
  15. Thanks for getting the new designs online, Brian and ColbyJack. The "Good things come in 25s" sloganwear looks sharp. Cafepress will be getting my order shortly, and thus a couple of hard earned dollars of mine are on their way to you too. Keep up the good work. Thanks again.
  16. I think a few weeks back, Colby had mentioned that new logos and/or merchandise designs may be on the way for the 2007 season? I was looking at ordering a couple tshirts to proudly sport at spring training. I was looking at probably ordering them next week sometime, are any new designs on the way that I should hold off for on ordering until they come out? If they won't be out for a while yet, or if CafePress is just delaying them, no biggie, just thought I'd ask before I ordered anything. I think Colby had mentioned that he had the new designs already made, he just had to email them over to Brian for him to forward them to CafePress.....I suppose Brian filed this in his "to do file" next to "design new message board", "change time settings" and "never"? Just kidding.
  17. I don't have the time nor know-how to start up a team of my own up here in the Apple-ton area. But if anyone wanted to, I'd be all for it, though I'm guessing we don't have enough people up here... If not, my question then is: are there any teams that anyone is on in the Apple-ton area that is looking for an extra player next year? I'm already apprehensive about randomly just contacting Park & Rec and joining a team that I know no one on, so I'm wondering if I can find a team that might at least have a bf.netter on it or two that at least I'll have something in common with then? If it at all helps, I played baseball in high school (I'm 26 now), and softball in the past (arc less than 6 feet), but it's been a while since I've played any type of high arc-ing softball, which I assume most leagues are, but I'm more than interested in joining if anyone already on a team wants to have me and has space available. Let me know, Josh Apple-ton
  18. Not to pick hairs, but Yahoo is reporting it as worth 10 million...maybe I just got the numbers confused though...
  19. Is anyone planning on coming in from the Apple-ton/Fox Cities area? I was thinking about going down, and I'm not much of a drinker, so if anyone is willing to throw in a couple bucks to cover gas, I'm willing to drive a few people down and be a DD for those coming back to the Apple-ton area afterwards... ...this provided that that night doesn't coincide with a high school hockey playoff game...
  20. As a more than poor student at this point in my life, I can not afford to contribute right now, but as soon as I get another one of those "grown up jobs", I will be more than happy to do so. Anyways, Brian and the mods get a lot of credit for this site, as they should, but I just wanted to send out another huge thank you for all those that have contributed so far. These contributions allow those of us like myself to continue to be able to waste precious time that could be spent studying, to instead debate the greatest burger in Wisconsin, where Bill Hall should play next year, the importance of the star color analyst, and predict who should be the 25th man on the roster in 2007. I just wanted to send out a sincere thank you to everyone that has contributed. I was simply amazed at the speed with which people were willing to donate, and the generous amounts that people have given when I looked at the "view contributors" page. It makes me proud to be a Brewers fan, and part of the best fan website that there is, for any team, in any sport. For what it's worth, my birthday is coming up, perhaps I should ask for a check payable to Brewerfan from my grandparents this year...that seven dollars could go a long way! But seriously, thank you.......and go Brewers!
  21. Brian, I'm sure you already tried this...but I think you might have to change the time settings manually? Time Settings Help Section
  22. This is great....and...it kind of reminds me...I think I'm going to miss Sutton...Yeeeee-hawww!!! It's also interesting to remember that they were "following" the Astros/Braves game during this one as well, little did we know at the time the Cardinals would go on to win the series and really not have to worry about the Astros...neat stuff, and I'm loving the limited/no commercials...
