  1. Guess not...it won't start until at least 6:30, at least that's when they'll be back to update us...but then why did Darron say in the pre-game if Doug can pitch quickly we can get through it in an hour and fifteen minutes? I was left confused...oh well...Anyone know anything good on tv until we get back underway? I'm contemplating Mythbusters on Discovery, or Modern Marvels: Axes, Swords and Knives on History....any other suggestions?
  2. AJAY...I think they met the game will start soon, but rain is supposed to return in an hour and fifteen minutes...that's how I understood it anyways...
  3. tomwopat, are you checking in at the game with a laptop? That's bf.net dedication...
  4. Go get 'em boys.... http://www.retroarcade.com/reviews/images/duckhunt.gif
  5. Tough loss for the Cardinals' Anthony Reyes tonight...goes a complete game (8 innings) giving up only one hit...though it proved to be the difference, a solo shot by Jim Thome in the 7th...White Sox win, 1-0...Reyes saddled with the loss...ouch
  6. Hope everyone has a great time, us cheapies will be watching for you on the broadcast...hope to get a chance to make it to fanfest next year....sounds like a good time...represent!
  7. In Bush's career he has had two starts against CLE...with a 3.46 ERA in 13 total innings, giving up 13 hits while striking out 14 and only walking 3....those are pretty good numbers against a good offense, all-be-it only in 2 starts...but combined with his generally good numbers at The Keg this year...I like our chances...I'll predict 7 innings, 4 runs and the crew pull it out, 7-5. However, it worries me that the Brewers have never faced Westbrook...they always seem to have a tough time with pitchers they see for the first go-round...hopefully some of our AL guys (Lee, Koskie) have had some luck against Westbrook in the past... EDIT: They do..."Lee is batting .429 (9-for-21) with a homer against Jake Westbrook (6-3, 4.77 ERA), Cleveland's starter on Saturday, while Koskie is batting .333 (7-for-21) with two homers off the right-hander." Does this mean Koskie starts again at 3B, Cirillo at SS, Weeks at 2B and Prince back in at 1B giving Bill Hall the day off? That's my prediction, and I'm sticking to it.
  8. That's the first time I've seen that commercial....Turnbow brushing his own bobblehead's hair...nice Though, I still prefer the FSN commercial with the call of Miller blocking the plate in the background and the guy taking out the other guy on his bike...that was hilarious...
  9. Looked like Brady caught it maybe a step or two before the warning track, so about 10 feet in front of the wall. By the way, welcome to the site sgtkowboy...play nice, and enjoy!
  10. Forgot to also mention....no way Verlander goes anywhere...ESPECIALLY for someone like Jenkins...crazy talk...
  11. 8th is a good spot for Hart until he plays every day. He can't hit 3rd right now because chances are, he'll put up a couple of K's tonight. Cirillo seems to always make contact, and with Weeks hopefully on base, a groundball out or something may be all that is needed to score Weeks. Previous poster was right, if Victor Martinez were on my team too, I'd have no qualms having him hit 4th.
  12. Badger..nope, the pitch plunked the knob of the bat and in true Brady Clark fashion...he acted like his hand was broken and was awarded first base...though, you can't blame him for this one...you gotta take what the umpire gives you I guess...
  13. Richie count: 2 Felder instead of Fielder: 1 Boy do I miss our FSN guys...though, I have always enjoyed Steve Stone...he has such a comfortable voice
  14. Kolb's beard seems to have doubled in size since the last time I noticed...it's borderline out of control....and it makes him look really mean...I like it
  15. Lee? Fielder? Hall? I like my chances here...I have a feeling one of them goes swimming in the river...
  16. Kind of a strange move to bring Shouse in there...but...besides his fielding snafu...he did seem to pitch well and get the job done...so, I suppose you can't knock Ned too much...
  17. I don't know...I'm not in a rush to push Rock out the door..his analysis has been pretty good this year, and his unbiased criticism of Clark's bonehead plays are fair, I think. I think he's doing a nice job this year...although, after hearing Gord on the other day, it'd be nice to see/hear Gord do a few more games, or at least be a third man in the booth from time to time.
  18. Why would you pitch around Dunn with the bases empty? So he hits a solo home run...big deal...I'd rather pitch to him and count on one of his 200 K's than one of his 45 HR's...
  19. If I was an opposing fan, I'd be pretty much calling for Brady Clark's head on a stick. Gritty or hardnosed or not, he's looked an awful lot like a dirty player on a bunch of occasions this year, that play included. It's good to give 100%, but that kind of bush league crap is totally unacceptable. Couldn't agree more. Well said.
  20. How great of a picture is this? Either Nedly is trying to get a second opinion on a molar cavity, or he is about to slip him the tongue...either way, it made me chuckle... http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/images/2006/06/11/eHUOvrIQ.jpg
  21. Hey guys...aren't there a couple of sites that allow you to view images of approximate seat views from various sections in major league ballparks? brewers.com isn't being very helpful... Know of any helpful websites?
  22. Did Spiezio lose a bet? That's the worst facial hair I've seen in quite a while...
  23. Quirky stat: Entire Cardinals lineup tonight: 23 HRs Pujols: 25 HRs
