  1. Braun just had a ball get eaten up by the graveyard that is Petco Park.
  2. So because Ishikawa has a higher OPS, he should be the 1B all year? Come on man, you do understand sample size right? Gamel is easily the better talent, plain and simple. I never once said Ishikawa should be at 1st base all year.
  3. Everyone does realize Gamel is OPSing .641, right? Obviously It will hurt if he is out for awhile but lets not act like he was setting the world on fire.
  4. Nice try. That's why I had asked. I am watching the game on the bottom espn ticker at work. Seen it was the 7th inning and Veras was in. Had no idea as to Greinke's count or WHIP. Removing Greinke is fine, just wondered for what reason exactly and why Veras, other than it's the 7th inning. Thanks for all the replies regarding pitch count and apparent ineffectiveness. Hey did you know that Greinke was at 115 pitches?
  5. Nice play A-Ram! Phew. More runs for the home team, please.
  6. Agreed. April and September/October can fool a lot of people.
  7. Games in April count for as many wins as games in other months.
  8. Which took a perfect throw from Carlos Lee, CARLOS LEE and the catcher to hang onto the ball with Gamel unloading on him.
  9. I'm with you... but I changed my mind when it became 2-0. That's a great hitter's count and I wanted him to swing away. Oh well, Roenicke knew better than me. Best game of the year, I hope it's a momentum shifter for them. I agree with the 2-0 part, I just think getting all bent out of shape for doing something that 99 out of 100 managers would do in that situation is just silly to me. Oh well, glad they won.
  10. No batter is 100% successful with sacrifices so that better not be your expectation when judging strategies. Sacrifice attempts result in 1 or 2 outs a non-insignificant amount of the time, so that needs to be considered. Did I ever say that its 100% successful? EDIT: Also, Lucroy is a career .688 OPS hitter. Asking him to bunt with runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs in the 9th down 1 isn't all that big of a deal.
  11. So glad they won but Luc has to get that bunt down. Rather you like the call or not Lucroy should be able to get a bunt down. Great win though! Go Brewers!
  12. Love the squeeze. Starting to like it as well. Lets go K-Rod.
  13. Aramis has for the most part been a slow starter. In his career he has OPS'd .776 in the 1st couple months of the season.
  14. Pretty sure the crowd was chanting "STD" to Braun before that caught stealing.
