  1. weeks, gross, jenkins. 3 Ks right off the bat. Money. As for the number of starting lineups. Gotta keep the players on their toes. Just throw darts at their names on the old dart board to see who starts. They'd probably score just as many runs.
  2. Heres my guess weeks gross jenkins lee fielder koskie hall miller hardy, rillo, moeller, clark benched. Probably not even close. But why the hell not. Looks good on paper.
  3. Anyone have a chance to watch villanueva? I know he's more pitcher than thrower and all that. What's he top out at mph on his straight ball?
  4. A **** granny. Off who if anyone knows since our PBP guy has resigned. I'm not a marketing guy, but if you pay for MLB.TV, should they not show you what you payed for. I don't want none of this blackout crap.
  5. Guess we'll find out how deep this team really is. Sheets hopefully just needs more time. Maybe he hit his pitch count already.
  6. SlideBernieSlide...your effort was much appreciated.
  7. O brother. Eveland was almost certainly not going to make the big leagues out of Spring training and one bad inning wasn't going to change that. Come on people. Yeah, I kinda figured as much. Lol, sorry. This is what happens when you're watching the clock and burning time. I know's I'm not as bright as you. EDIT: Still, heres to bush's success throughout.
  8. 5th starter. Bush's job to lose now. I personally believe he's gonna have a breakout year. Hoping for cappy like win numbers(realistically 14+), with better lines. Maybe helling can heal up, but it seems like he's wearing down early. The old man just needs to stretch it out alittle. Eveland's pressing to make the squad. Overthrowing or something. Leaving the ball up. All this attention for him getting in good physical condition. He must feel like superman out there, as he stated last week. He was pitching in mid 90s last year on most occasions. This S T, he's probably not getting tired whatsoever.
  9. Lyles up for the jays.....ez single off some shmoe.
  10. Lehr gets absolutely no credit, and is probably the most underrated of the brewers pitchers. If he cuts down his walks, I think he can be very effective and has been last year on occasion. His ultimate goal, as I understand it, is to get back to starting. One other guy I'd like to see given an honest shot this year is jorge. I guess it's really up to him. We'll see how he does in the WBC, probably tommorrow against the US as he may very well be one of the top lefty options out of the pen for mexico. I think he pitched a scoreless walk free inning against AZ the other day. He's been doing alot of pitching lately against live hitters(mexican league and now WBC). If he doesn't get it this year, it's "fare thee well" elsewhere. Maybe he needs a change of scenery.
  11. Perez scares me. He's awesome, and he pitched pretty well in his last start. I'll bet this is a nailbiter and, sorry hawing, a ND for Doug. _____________________________________- Perez's control doesn't. I'm sure the brewers will come out swinging and Perez will graciuosly offer something to hit. NOTE: Are the buccos trying to piece together an all lefty starting rotation?
  12. Ohka at home .285 BAA 4.26 ERA Ohka away: .246 BAA 3.68 ERA RFK .215 BAA 1.67 ERA 27IP at Miller(this right?) .314 BAA 5.57 ERA 53IP Pre-Allstar .257 BAA 3.62 ERA Post .275 BAA 4.38 ERA Last start @AZ 7IP 4H 2R 2ER Last start at home against Houston: 3IP 6H 5R 3ER
  13. Oh yeah. Go cleveland. Beat the over-acheivers.
  14. Scrap-iron sure handed it to us. Figured they were going to. Too late for the big show, so we may as well see what we have for next year. No more hitting the wall at .500. EDIT: Still, I'd like to see us looking down on the scrubs for the duration of this year. Bring it on Dusty.
  15. Man, bad retreads blow. Hendrickson doesnt have it this year. I'd just let eveland, lehr, jorge, sarfate(if they bring him up?). We have enough guys to get through a shaky start. We ain't playing for much now anyhow. .500, BAH.
  16. I'd rather see this. Clark CF Hardy SS Jenkins RF Lee LF Fielder 1B Hall 2B Branyan 3B Moeller/Other old timer C Helling P NOTE: Helling's last start I thought he'd be done by the end of the 4th. This time I see him getting chased in the 3rd. Prove me wrong again Helling.
  17. I think Ned likes jorge from the pen. If he could get you 6+ innings a start, I would definitely give him a shot. He needs to stop bailing on that curve leaving it WAYYY up. If he can get that over with relatively the same arm action as the fastball, that's an A++ pitch no doubt. He threw 50 pitches over two innings last outing, but that average would lessen with more innings. If jorge doesn't get innings over the next two, I might actually look for him to start. But has Jorge earned it? Has he really had a shot too? And we all know Ned has no love left for jorge, so the chance is slim. He's used it all on gruder and santos. Once bitten, twice shy, eh Ned.
  18. I was thinking santos for his last ha-rah. BTW, is wise available tonight?
  19. the bigger question will Prince get a start tonight? Like the previous poster said, he probably won't even though O hasn't done anything to warrant NOT sitting a day(which he has) or two. What is he, somewhere around 3 for his last 25. If jenkins plays, I think O plays. If not, I think you have every reason to go with fielder batting fifth. Another question is who comes in after helling gets knocked out after the 4th.
  20. Yay, let's welcome him into the league the same way we launched Duke's rookie campaign. Low 90s, best pitch is the curve. High/low 9Ks? 3ER? 7IP? It's amazing how this "stuff" works out. edited: language -ja002h
  21. Hey everybody, dans back in town. EDIT: BTW, I'm guessing we lose tonight 1-0 with about ten hits, and take the other two games. Book it. Then I shall come back after we knock off hudson and gloat about my unparalleled genius.
  22. And take solice in the fact that you are not a cubs fan.
  23. We deserved this loss, plain and simple. Missed chances over and over. Oh well, let's go plunder some injians. I'd like to see fielder get at least one start on this homestand.
  24. 2005 vs. Left 16 32 2 9 3 0 0 2 0 5 1 0 .281 .303 .375 .678 vs. Right 73 89 10 16 4 0 2 11 6 25 1 0 .180 .253 .292 2004 vs. Left 22 36 6 12 3 0 2 3 4 4 0 1 .333 .400 .583 .983 vs. Right 44 53 5 9 3 1 0 7 4 17 0 0 .170 .250 .264 Yet, when theres a chance to utilize his slick hitting against a righty, bank on Ned making the call. I'm thinking gruder should stop switch hitting and pick a side. That side seems obvious. Every team needs a switch hitter, right?
