  1. Alright, Neil. Thrown 14 of his last 17 pitches outside of the zone.
  2. As much as the offense struggled, they got Miami's starter to throw 100 pitches in 4 2/3's innings. Braun has to swing at strikes.
  3. If you have a better idea, feel free to share They should have to do it twice more this season, once against the Pirates and once against the Cardinals.
  4. He's terrible in RF. He's been terrible in RF. Yes, he hits, but man, he's as bad (if not worse) than 2008 Braun out there.
  5. Giannis took a big step in year 3 and a huge step in year 4. Thon works as hard as anyone, what I hope to see from him is better rebounding (simply being stronger will help there) and better help defense -- he needs to jump less (being more experienced will help there). I truly don't expect much more than that from him. More consistency on the pick 'n pop and pick 'n roll would be huge.
  6. Seems off on my FSWI Stream and Miami stream as well. Too green, or something. Edited to add: Definitely too green. Marlins jerseys almost look greenish/grey instead of black.
  7. Why would they hassle you? People have tickets on their phones all the time. Yes, you may have to pull up the app and show one of the tickets to an usher.
  8. True. Is that are a large enough sample for us to make a judgement? Honest question. Also, pretty sure they never tagged Domingo and for some reason that wasn't challenged. No, it's not a large enough sample. His BABIP with RISP is .204. 114 PA's is about a month's worth. Lots of guys have bad months (See Brewers, August circa 2017)
  9. Got one great Uecker line tonight, "Heading to the ninth, 7 -0 Pirates, they haven't trailed tonight." (Long, long pause)
  10. Absolutely terrible call. The slide was absolutely made to make contact with the fielder.
  11. Brewers e-mail sent to my inbox: "The Brewers are right where they want to be." Well, no, they'd much rather be 2 games up, than 2 games down. Or 10 games up. Or have clinched their division already. Just a pet peeve.
  12. This isn't something people just made up. The roof is damaged. https://www.thescore.com/news/1370730 Here's a before shot, for comparison: http://www.americaspastimetours.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/marlins-roof-closed.jpg
  13. Would it be out of possible/probable to play those games in Milwaukee? Would MLB have better options? No. They have to be played at a neutral site. There's something in the rules somewhere about that.
  14. Eric Thames stat for the day: With RISP: .208 BABIP and a .604 OPS. With a guy just on 1B: .326 BABIP with a 1.199 OPS It's truly baffling.
  15. They do get hurt more, but that's because guys are throwing harder than ever before. http://www.fangraphs.com/tht/velocitys-relationship-with-pitcher-arm-injuries/
  16. I think he has reached innings limit Innings limit. Pitch counts. All things that got us into this mess of panzy pitchers in the 21st century. Yeah, pitchers never got hurt before the year 2000, back when men were men and pitchers threw 150 pitch games and never had it effect their careers.
