Hard to tell if it'd be worth getting Lester with his cancer or not. I still don't see why so many people feel we will or should get rid of Hardy though.

Spurling isn't on the 40 man roster anymore, he signed a minor league deal.

What it feels like to be in college classrooms one year and knocking on the door of the bigs a little over a year later.

I know this is a far fetched idea but he had all of 2006 off and says he'd like to play in 2007 and feels good physically. Would he be worth a 1 year contract? Thoughts?

Two words to express my frustration with Rogers at this point: Homer Bailey. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

People who can't stop checking their cell phone every other minute. People who talk on their phone while driving. People who walk REALLY slow. People throwing cigarettes out the car window.

Lansing, Kane County and Burlington all re-signed with their respective teams. Here's the most updated list I have found online as far as affiliates go. I'd be sky high if the Crew would move back to the MWL so I could see Jeffress, Brewer & Gillespie in the very near future. www.ballparkdigest.com/af..._2006.html

Has anyone heard anything on our low A situation on whether we may re-sign with the Power or go elsewhere? Someone told me today they read somewhere the Brewers may be interested in coming back to the MWL. Just curious if anyone has heard any new info. of late.

Thanks for all your hard work guys, it's fun to read about the minors day in and day out and you guys have the best coverage of anyone. 2007 minor league baseball can't start soon enough for me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

So what date do teams have to sign by whether they renew or go to a new affiliate?

I noticed Hickory resigned with Pittsburgh so now if WV doesn't want us back where do we go from here?

We really need to draft a couple of fat guys next year so I can get myself a jersey. Hahaha you nailed my thoughts. That's what I always think when I see mainly size 48.

There is a lack of bigger names but I still get excited no matter what just because in that draft is part of our future, how can't you get excited? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Look how we've embraced Inman and Hammond who weren't first rounders. This year will have some more of those guys whether high picks or surprises later on in the draft. I'll be there on June 6 listening online will you?

On another website someone is claiming that on ESPNews on the bottom news scrolling thingy that it says Peter Gammons says the Dbacks have signed Justin Upton. Awesome.

Fun stuff to watch during a long offseason. Could watch those type of things all day.

Thanks for clarifying that. The weird part is that he mentioned Maybin right after that saying he had signed also. Weird.

I thought he never signed but then on some ebay auction for a card set that includes AFLAC HS players who have signed the guy said, "and the Diamondbacks have finally signed Justin Upton". I emailed him and asked where he got that from and he said that he thought Baseball America reported this in October. Did I miss this or is this guy full of it?

How did Hammond get in the AFL? I thought he couldn't get in because of Alcides Escobar?

Another poor showing by Prince tonight: 0-4. Maybe he does need some more AAA time to start next year?

Who do you think gets called up to Milwaukee and how soon? I sure hope Nelson Cruz comes up. He was on fire, at AAA, and in the playoffs. I think he's proven himself to be worthy of a callup.
