Great news gentlemen! The Mariners have officially signed a 2 year deal with Clinton, who has an article on their site confirming this and it says in that article that the Rangers have shifted operations to Hickory in the SAL leaving us with the T-Rats!

I would think Wisconsin...he sounds pretty advanced for his age with wood bats and he has gotten hits off MLB pitching before in games (Hochevar & Gil Meche).

Clinton was remodeled a few years ago. I checked out that park this summer a handful of times and it seems like a nice facility. Very comfortable/cozy. Has a nice indoor batting cages facility which is also connected to the clubhouse. I agree that if they wanted to remain in the SAL they'd have just re-signed with WV. They're definitely coming to the MWL, it's just a matter of Wisconsin or Clinton.

Count me as extremely disappointed in the interleague slate for us.

Extremely off topic but I saw Rich Harden up close and really liked the necklace he was wearing and I've been wanting this type of necklace anyway for myself and was curious if anyone happened to know what necklace this is or at the very least what type of necklace it is so I could go about searching for one? Here's the best pictures I have of it: http://cache2.asset-cache.net/xc/82125872.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19368FFB0B613D6DEB068AF9F269AF30F7AE30A760B0D811297 http://cache4.asset-cache.net/xc/82135835.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19368FFB0B613D6DEB02F954AFA3FF22C54E30A760B0D811297 http://cache4.asset-cache.net/xc/82175770.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19368FFB0B613D6DEB09436E5EC63EFC20DA46BB8D1E5A89175

Back in the 1990s sometime, can't remember what year really but I ran into Jose Valentin at Brookfield Square. He was shopping with his family.

The booing gets extremely old. Anyone who boos has no class. If you don't do a good job while you work do you like getting criticized? Didn't think so. Sure you can be frustrated but booing does absolutely nothing positive.

That chart isn't 100% correct. It lists Beloit as a team that hasn't re-signed yet when they extended with the Twins thru 2010 last summer.

He's no Vasgersian and is kind of dry in some ways but he does a good job in my opinion. If you want a good example of a bad announcer/commentator who definitely does the cheering that they don't want just listen to the scrubs pathetic announcer Ron Santos. He basically sounds like a drunk fan in the booth most of the time.

Who are the top players as of now for the 2009 draft? Is there a list on a site anywhere that lists the top guys?

I was at the Brevard County game last night with Jeffress pitching.? He can really bring it, that's all I can say. Located the fastball very well most of the time and the off speed stuff wasn't bad either. According to the gun under the scoreboard he was continually pumping in 96 mph and making some of those guys look flat out silly.? He was making college hitters such as Stubbs and Frazier look bad at times even. A lot of guys in the lineup for Sarasota early were so far behind they were barely fouling pitches off even. It was a lot of fun to watch him pitch. Bramhall looked amazing too coming in for the final 4 innings. Taylor Green's homer was an oppo shot if it wasn't noted and you knew it was gone immediately. I took a few video clips from the games I was at there this week.? Here's one of Omar Aguilar from Tuesday below. I have short clips of Braddock and Jeffress too that I'll try to get uploaded as well.

Was at the Brevard County game tonight (1st time seeing Brewers prospects play since the Beloit days in 2004) and as advertised, Omar Aguilar was just filthy. Braddock and Baron both looked pretty good themselves too.

I love AZ way more than FL in general and for spring training too. I personally love the Maryvale complex. It'd be a big disappointment for them to move to FL, games are so spread out there, where as everything is close together in AZ.
