  1. Foxsports is reporting that Anthony Reyes will start today on three days rest instead of Chris Carpenter. The Cardinals want to save Carpenter for the playoffs (or the makeup game if needed)
  2. 2-0 Brewers. I think I can hear Clemens and Biggio screaming from here.
  3. The best thing I saw tonight was Tony Gwynn catching a flyball in the gap that I thought nobody had a chance to get to. That saved two or three runs right there. It was just beautiful. BREWERS WIN !!!
  4. As much as I would love Manny's bat in the lineup, I am kind of tired of getting players with too many flaws. I am kind of in the mood for more of the "Minnesota Twins" type of players who are fundamentally sound in all aspects of the game. Manny is a headcase who is probably best suited for DH. A lot of people also feel that he has quit on his teammates this season.
  5. The Pirates closer blew it too.
  6. Yup, Cordero is only human. No problem. It happens.
  7. I missed the last three innings, but I read that Kevin Mench struck out in his last at-bat. He looked like crap tonight both at the plate and in the field.
  8. I wouldn't trade Gallardo. As far as I am concerned, the kid is untouchable.
  9. I would recommend heading to the lower level just before the 9th inning. You can watch the ending from the concourse. Once the game ends, you can sneak your way towards the dugouts. A lot of people did that. Normally the ushers are cool about it. Today they had kids scheduled to run bases after the game, and they were trying to prevent people from moving towards the field. But it wasn't that hard to find your way to the front if you were really determined. I managed to get to the second row.
  10. The T-shirts were awesome. They were retro-blue and had "Milwaukee" written in yellow script. There was also a small ball and glove logo on it. The shirts sort of resembled the batting practice jerseys that the players wear on retro-Sundays (although slightly different). The best thing I liked was that it wasn't one of those giveaways that had the sponsor's ads all over it. There was a little Miller Brewing thing on the shoulder but that's it. . . . and I like Miller so I didn't mind.
  11. I had a great time at the game today. I met "dadofandrew" (Al) and his son before the game. I was also able to shake hands with Mark Attanasio. Nice to finish the home schedule with a sweep. I was happy that Sheets got some run support. The 9th inning made me a little nervous because I thought Bonds was going to pinch hit with the bases loaded. For some reason, he never came. After the game, all the players came out and saluted the fans by throwing Brewers merchandise into the stands. It was a nice day all around. SWEEEEEEEEEEP !!!!!!!
  12. Just got home and turned on my TV. Did I miss anything interesting tonight? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp BREWERS WIN !!! (I am glad I taped it)
  13. Congratulations Drew Anderson !!
  14. Anderson has not even had one start so far. I can kind of understand it even though I would personally rather see Hart play. Hopefully Drew can get comfortable with a few at-bats and at least get his first base hit.
  15. Did Geoff Jenkins just hit a walkoff HR against a lefty pitcher? I think I just peed in my pants . . . . twice. BREWERS WIN !!!!!!!!!!
  16. Wow, a bunt single !! It was beautiful. I almost cried.
  17. I have no idea. I thought you were the one who kept all the stats? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  18. Villanueva was outstanding. Bye bye Tomo !!
  19. Still failing to score. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!
  20. That was some ugly baserunning there. Rookie mistake by Fielder.
  21. Any update on Bill Hall's health? Is he out for a while?
  22. I can't believe I made the mistake of actually attending that game. It was long and brutal. Sheets had trouble putting guys away even when he got ahead in the count. Turnbow threw more gas on the fire. Yost was again too clueless to sense trouble early. The place was empty and the game meant nothing to either team. Even the Cardinals fans didn't seem that enthusiastic because they are used to winning the division and they expect to get destroyed by the Mets in the postseason anyway. And it was freezing outside too. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/BagHead.jpg
  23. For one split second, I got very excited and forgot this game means nothing. I guess your true feelings come out when you get a nice walkoff. BREWERS WIN !!!!
  24. So Cappy will go another game without a win. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!
