  1. Brennaman refuses to apologize for his gross generalization: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/cs-080418-marty-brennaman-chicago-cubs-fans,1,2967859.story
  2. And 6 hours and 18 minutes later............good night.
  3. If you're the Rockies or Padres you got to start thinking about just going for the record longest game. Move over '84 Brewers, 26 innings here they come.
  4. These games are the reason teams figure out who the 3rd, 4th and 5th cathcers are.
  5. This is downright hilarious. Everything Vasgersian says is ridiculous....."Let's flashback to yesterday when Giles took the first of his 9 at bats."
  6. A lot of those fans are awfully rowdy for not having been able to purchase a beer for the last 13 innings.
  7. Holy crap, I just stumbled upon this game by accident in the 20th inning. I gotta watch now.
  8. It looks like it was more of a case of Tejada getting busted in an interview with E-60, rather than Tejada being a nice guy and admitting it. I'm not saying that I blame him for doing it. He's certainly not the first, but don't think that Tejada wanted this info out there. Here is a link to the video of Tejada walking out of the interview. EDIT: Insert link.
  9. I'm with ya. We still got 5 innings to go. Let's just hope McClung can hold his ground.
  10. Cardinals Aflac Trivia: Q: The last player to hit 50 home runs and then go homerless to start the next season for as long as Prince? A: Ceceil Fielder 1991
  11. Manny is hitting his spots fairly well. I just think his strike zone has been reduced to nothing.
  12. Nice quality start from Bush today. Now let's get some runs.
  13. This is similar to what people ended up saying in the original Gabe Kapler thread, so I'll hope for the best with Weaver. He did have some decent years before he started his descent, mabye he can rekindle some magic in Nashville. Low risk for sure.
  14. Why didn't we walk Schneider to get to Perez?
  15. Anyone else get to see the replay of Fielder's bat nailing the home-plate umpire in the head? Great stuff.
  16. They've replayed a couple called third strikes and questioned them, notably Brauns. They also replayed Figueroa getting into first base late and said that it was the wrong call. EDIT: I think the way Kiwi Brewer described it is adequate.
  17. Ha. I was thinking about this earlier when Figueroa was called safe at first. It seems like a good game for Ned to get tossed. Maybe we witness a spinning F-bomb tonight.
  18. I think it's a good move by Yost. Get some offense before this game gets rained out.
  19. OK, the perfect game is gone. Let's work on the no-hitter and then go for the win.
  20. The Mets announcers also said that their theme for this year is "man-love", so I don't know what to think.
  21. I thought we were facing Santana tomorrow.
  22. I didn't realize the Brewers had the fewest walks in the league. They need to start taking some pitches, because at this rate Figueroa will be pitching into the 8th inning.
  23. My MLB.TV is working great. What feed are you on? Try switching it up. 1.2 MB works best for me.
  24. All Saturday afternoon games are blacked-out all season long on MLB Extra Innings, because Fox has the rights to them. This same blackout applies to MLB.TV, but does not start until May10th. Also all games are blacked-out on MLB Extra Innings and MLB.TV if they are played on Sunday night after 4pm Central time (start time). I feel really bad for those people getting blacked-out from 4 or 5 teams. Here is my weird blackout; I live 819 miles from the nearest baseball team and they are still considered in "my market". I live in Montana and the team is the Mariners. I have never once seen a Mariners fan in this town. They might as well black out the Florida Marlins.
