  1. Watered down sweet and sour sauce.
  2. I noticed some of the team warming up on one of the adjacent fields about an hour prior to the game. I think that's where a lot of them hid before taking the field.
  3. That's where I sat for yesterday's game. I was about 1 ft. away from Luis Pena or Bill Castro the whole game. I got to listen to Ned radio Bill from the dugout to talk about warmups, cooldowns, etc. I overheard some great conversations including Turnbow talking about his 4-seamer and Sheets talking about his changeup with Maddux. I also overheard some private conversations that I probably shouldn't have. The dugout radioed once asking for more cups for the Mariner's dugout. I presume that Yost used up their original supply with his coffee addiction?
  4. Powell and BA make for a good broadcast team IMO.
  5. Here are my pics from the 3rd - 6th. The zoom on my tiny camera is terrible which tells you how close you actually are to the players. This was my first trip to ST and I have to say that it exceeded my expectations, which I didn't think was possible. Great seats every game, foul balls, conversations with players and a burnt red face to boot. I'm looking forward to next year. I have more pictures, including one of me with DM and Gord Ash. I'll post them if someone asks. http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/3f8250b9968f9683cee3e7cc0087d54eebc98ea.pjpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/90015495806ec7362190ef73eee61fa74d72747.pjpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/f40353a8931886e16b74c49335e970fe7d15010.pjpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/c8025e493d8ba6bfc133a29e436a9cf07dfc016.pjpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/b29156998563c13f11d3d1dd1c773eaad671051.pjpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/67225b79d485f6b4ce43b350b1ee92ce181c52a.pjpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/63025fd98c8276d6c9c3f5959b90f5cb3f5e305.pjpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/ceb1589c8b6cc736c292c203a5a2565e05e556e.pjpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/d0135a279d8284ba6af8c5763219dd6e0cb7559.pjpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/4471539a816cca3ad536f6f0f8b445738f08078.pjpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/cfa15b9e836ec139737d83fc582f8c5c32968ac.pjpg
  6. Metacritic has got it at a 75/100 for an average of reviews, so I guess a lot of people don't like the new pitching.
  7. So is Branyan in minor league camp right now? Does anyone know?
  8. Ehh......I'll give it a 2.6 out of 3.3 since the Woah Solvdd radio segment ended. Welcome aboard.

  12. I'll be at the games from the 3rd - 6th. Look for me in BF.net T-shirts or my "The man, the myth" T-shirt.
  13. and went on to say, "with my arby money, I wouldn't be caught dead in an Escalade".
  14. All right! That was my e-mail. Of course, in the 10 minutes I was away from my computer they responded to it. Did they actually talk about the backup catcher thing or did they just mention the shoutout? Bill and Jim talked a little bit about position battles this spring including back up catcher, but it was not related to your e-mail, although I haven't been paying extra close attention.
  15. The bf.net mention definitely included BA saying "our good friends at Brewerfan.net" and then Bill answered with a conversation about BBQ ribs. By the way Woogie, holy crap with the graphics. I don't remember them looking that polished last year. Nice work. Aahhhhh, baseball..........
  16. Good to hear. If anyone knows of anymore nationally televised games (Fox,ESPN,etc.) could you please post them. I realize a lot of the nationally televised broadcasts aren't decided on until the last minute, but it's good to get a heads up on the ones that are. For most of us out of market fans, a nationally televised game is a real treat.
  17. I don't mind passive drivers, it's the aggressive ones that piss me off. Why didn't you leave the house 15 minutes earlier? And why don't you switch to decaf? And please take a deep breath. What's bugging me is that my neighbor across the street uses his circular saw to cut up scrap wood at 1am every-night. It's not the hour of night that bugs me though, it's the fact that I have no idea why he needs that wood so small. He never uses his fireplace (no chimney smoke).
  18. I'm not sure I'd declare that the elites "can't" get the ring, but are far less likely. That said, most (if not all) the shelf stock - of all the models - was produced after June of last year and therefore should be in the "safe zone" with regards to the ring of doom. No Xbox 360's are free from the Red Ring of Death, no matter when they were made, however I do believe that if you take good care of your Xbox the chances of it happening are a lot less likely. I still have the original Xbox that I stood in line for during the November '05 launch and it works fine. Keep it well ventilated and don't move it around to much and you should be alright. Starting in mid September Microsoft began releasing Xbox 360's with a cooler and quiter 65nm "falcon" motherboards. One of the first systems that they put the new motherboard in was the Elite system and this is why everybody thinks that the Elite system is a sure fire avoidance of the RROD. This is false however, because there are Elites in existance with the old motherboard in them. The best way to get a system with the new "falcon" chip is to grab an Xbox 360 and look on the box. If the power supply rating says 175W then the system has got the new chip in it. If it says 203W then it likely has the old motherboard (in rare cases there are 203W powersupplies with the falcon). Also check the date on the back. If it's manufactured recently (11/07 or later) it's likely got a falcon chip. However, as sgtcluels already said the new Xbox's are not bombproof. There have been reports of DVD drive failure and RROD on the falcon 360s as well. But all in all they are a big improvement over the previous models. Also, if you follow the guidelines above, you will get an HDMI output with the system. For some reason the new Premium models won't say on the box that they have HDMI output, but they do. I would get a Premium for $350 and avoid the Elite model unless you want the black color to match your home theater. Otherwise they are more money, for harddrive space that you don't need. You'll love your new Xbox. They do everything. I just played an online game of 4 player UNO while I was waiting for my High Definition movie (Michael Clayton) to finish downloading. Have fun.
  19. It looks like Adam Sandler doing his Halloween costume of "Crazy speedo google wearing man"
  20. It's Spring already? I need a new avatar.
  21. This thread is pretty one sided in favor of Russ. To put it into perspective lookup the thread on Counsell returning.
  22. "And then Doug says to me 'I guess I just forgot to tell the media'"
  23. I now wish I was going to ST more than ever I'll be there March 3rd, and don't think that I won't go dig out my 3TO shirt.
  24. Wow, 6 pages. I don't listen to Nickelback, because I don't care for how their music sounds.
  25. I got Virtumondo off of my laptop with Vundofix.exe. You can find it here. You probably already tried it, but restore your system to an earlier time if you haven't already.
