    How is it making an excuse when a guy gets thrown out on a hit and run? Even great baserunners get thrown out often on hit and run plays. I'm not arguing Brady should be trying to steal bags but that was not his fault.

    Other than a few bad plays by Weeks, our young infielders have been outstanding.

    That was not at all Brady's fault. It was a clear hit and run with JJ wiffing on the very hittable BP fastball on the outside corner.

    I just looked at the standings and noticed the Crew have scored the fewest runs of any team in baseball up to this point. We could really use a breakout game on offense.

    Even if we lose this game we are 5-3 putting us on pace for 101 wins. Why all the crying?

    Even if we get swept it doesn't necessarily mean we are a worse team. The Cubs took 10 of 16 from the Cards last year. I believe the Yanks had a losing record against the Devil Rays last year. You really can't draw any meaningful conclusions from two games.

    Today would be a good day to break out offensively. A nice 9-6 win sounds good.

    This almost never happens in baseball and rightfully so. Pujols just came off a terrible series in Chicago. Point being, even the best in the business have "mini-slumps."

    I don't know if you guys have seen Bush pitch but his curve is outstanding as is his control. His main problem has been his inability to strike guys out once he gets ahead in the count. Working with the demi-god Mike Maddux could really turn him into a very nice young starter. He could pull a Capuano and win 15+ games this year.

    Cirillo didn't look like a fighter or a gamer on that play.
