  1. I did the same thing earlier today.....dropping $900+ for the whole package kind of hurt....but paying $35 each for Saturday's game is pretty sweet. I figured if we get to the NLCS, and if the prices keep skyrocketing, I could potentially sell my 2 tickets for $500+...in which case, i would essentially pay for my season tickets next year (fixed code --1992)
  2. If this is true, why wouldn't there be more SRO tickets available on stubhub? Currently, there are only 2 links for SRO tickets and both look a little fishy.....
  3. My bro is flying in from North Carolina for the weekend games, desperately need 2 tickets.......and unfortunately, he and myself are both college students and cant afford the ridiculous prices on stubhub......i am certainly willing to pay double the face value, but the $150 a piece for terrace reserve on stubhub is out of my league. ANYONE with ANYTHING extra...it would be greatly appreciated.
  4. I only thought it because I haven't seen many, if any, 'standing room only' tickets for sale on stubhub or elsewhere.
  5. No really, I know one of the 70 some people that have viewed this post know the answer to my question/questions. So how about one of you help a brother out and give me some info
  6. Does anyone know what the Brewers are doing with the standing room only tickets? Have they already all been sold? Or will they go on sale like they normally do? I just talked to a guy with the Brewers and he just said 'all the information is online'.....so does that imply all the standing room only tickets are being scalped on stubhub?
  7. Unless Mark A just lied and completely threw Melvin under the bus, it sounds like it was ultimately Melvin's decision when he described his role as essentially to possibly 'veto' Melvin's decisions....but never 'make' the decisions.
  8. did DM just say 'ned and I will talk to them tomorrow' when asked about if they had addressed the team?
  9. Can we get any confirmation on Yount? I saw Brian said it was reported on Fox but then someone else said that's not true afterward.
  10. This september is starting to feel like august of last year.....They seemed to be focused on the Cubs for the past few months and haven't really considered their wild-card position. Now that they finally opened up a considerable lead in the wild-card race and they are clearly pressing once again. Either way, they haven't played this poorly since mid to late May...I know its tough to be optimistic after this one, especially when considering the Phillies final schedule ( complete cakewalk and majority at home), but we do still have a 3 game lead and if we come up big next week @ philly we can essentially secure a playoff spot.
  11. we have a 6 run lead, who cares if sabathia says he is good to go......this is august 18th ned yost, not the end of september or beginning of october
  12. are u serious? is he really batting right now? unreal.
  13. I sure hope we don't burn out CC for the late September and hopeful October run...being up 8-2...and CC being at 100 pitches, it would be nice to see him pulled but it looks like that wont happen
  14. Suppan is garbage, he might as well put the ball on a tee and stop wasting his time throwing pitches.
  15. Every ball was hit hard off Sheets with the exception of the bloop in front of Nix.....Yost would have Shouse ready for the lefty but still leave in Sheets.......and now bring in Shouse for the righty. I still completely hate Yost's bullpen/pitching management.
  16. Rydogg.....Average High/Low temperature for Minneapolis in April is 57/36 and September is 71/51 while Milwaukee's average high/low for April is 54/38 and September is 73/55. So believing that it would be cooler in the Twins new open air stadium than it was at County stadium is inaccurate.
  17. dlk9s.....I suppose complete lack of length would be more accurate, but either way, it certainly seems to be a limiting factor
  18. Prince is a huge liability on defense, he cannot play first base and I don't see him ever being able to. He can't field, he can't throw, he can't pick up short-hops on throws, he can't make quality spontaneous decisions, and his complete lack of size hurts our entire infield because if any throw is off at all...he can only make a small stretch. He is quite clearly a future DH.........
  19. There it is........so is Gagne the full-time closer again? or is it still closer by committee? and Gagne is just part of that committee currently?
  20. I really wonder if Ned wants to be fired........If Gagne does indeed blow it, which seems extremely plausible at this point, how does Ned justify bringing him in? Gagne had 2 nights off of closing, and last night he pitched 2 innings and still did not look like he has found it. If he blows this, Attanosio should order the firing of Yost immediately following the game.
  21. Never once have i called for Yost to get fired, but more and more I think it may actually be better off for the brewers to continue to struggle so that Yost does get canned. Not only does he make quiet a few managing mistakes, but he really does seem to be loyal to a fault. I understand players love this trait, but it seems to often hurt the team as a whole more than it helps. There is absolutely no reason for Gagne to be closing/pitching in high pressure situations anymore, especially since the rest of the bullpen has been very good.
  22. The difference between a good manager and a bad manager? A good manager realizes when his closer is struggling, and vows to not bring him in for high pressure situations....Meanwhile a bad manager doesn't care that his closer is struggling, and still brings him in even though he consistently sucks.
  23. I'm glad this other announcer can be critical of Yost.........It's funny how gagne is arguably our worst bullpen pitcher, and yost still has nobody up in the pen
  24. When a team continually makes mental mistakes it certainly should be considered a reflection of their manager.
