    I always was of the opnion that they should put that polarized tinted film over the glass, like those "transitions" lenses.. Wont stop the sun, but reduce the glare a great deal.. And wouldn't be as expensive..

    Not built on VA land, btw.. Unless the VA owned a dump.. There is a famous picture of Daniel Hoan & Charles Whitnall standing over the area where County Stadium was going to be built, bulldozers pushing garbage around in the valley.. MP has several methane vents around the perimeter because the dump is directly below the park and parking lot.

    All the quibbles aside, how cool is it to see this team come back from the dead like it has? When I first joined this board (under another nickname, cant remember what it was) when they had that funky old message board (the one where members could submit articles) we used to squeeze the blood of hope from the stone that was Davy Lopes, etc and always thinking "someday....someday"...I do not want those days back..We may not win the big one, but we aren't the recycled tires doormat for the division any more, and to me, that is soo cool.. Just my $.02

    Welcome Brooks, you were always one of my favorites.. We would welcome you back here anytime.. I met you at a club called the World Series Club which is run by a man named Paul Schramka who also runs the Braves historical club, and I loved your talk and you signed all my schwag which I have displayed proudly to this day.     I agree, if I'm next in line and the 7th ends, BAM you're cut off.. I have never seen a vendor or a concession worker at MP break this rule.. BTW, my ex wife and son went to the Cubs series and saw Cubs college fans drinking from cans in the stands! I mean, how did that happen? I can see a can or two, but a whole group of kids bringing in 6 packs of Bud? Someone dropped the ball, got lost in the crush, I guess. I saw a guy sneak in a tall boy into MP once, and the beer vendor saw him and just about blasted my eardrums at how loud he screamed at this dude.. Face it, this city is always going to be ground zero in the eyes of the media when it comes to sports and drunkenness, and I supposed it's 95% to do with tailgating, but it seems that people are now throwing responsibility out the window..When I was a kid (bear with me) my dad and the rest of my family brought a hard sided cooler filled with sandwiches, beer, and bottles of booze and mixers to the game and we would mix drinks for everyone in our row and I dont remember this kind of crap. That was my rant, thank you for your support.

    And Bernie didnt really slide into a "platform" it actually had home plate painted on it, just that from just about every angle in the park, you can't see it..
