  1. People, not just here, but in general, form an opinion, then force the narrative to back that opinion up, in my experience. Evidence refuting that opinion gets downplayed.
  2. Since All-Star voting is less about quality and more about popularity, I would place more emphasis on numbers that aren't subjective. As Shakira said, almost, hits don't lie!
  3. We win 6 series in a row and lose this one 2-1 and it's a humiliation? Give me a freakin' break. Good teams lose to bad teams every day in MLB. Let's stop with the hyperbole for a change.
  4. With a base open, I don't think it was as much of a risk. And this would be the, you know, 2017 All Star closer, not just some AAA schlub. I'd say the risk of Hader keeping up his 8th inning form was slightly less than Knebel with his 2018 form. Small sample size, and all.
  5. You can make a bad move and get a good result just like you can make a good move and have a bad result. I'm curious as to how you decide WHAT was a bad move. Surely that's subjective. I thought once Hader started getting squeezed on the zone he started to get less effective. It's certainly not a no-brainer after 1 2/3 to leave him in vs. taking him out. Anyone who says this was the WRONG move definitively is just, like, stating an opinion, man.
  6. I guarantee that if Hader gave up a run or two on, say, his 40th pitch, there's no way the "what was CC thinking?" comments wouldn't fly
  7. Hmmmm, that looked like Ozuna would have been nailed at 2nd, if Hader had thrown there.
  8. Never understood the hate for BA and Rock. I get a ton of the opposition feeds on MLBTV and most are borderline unlistenable - even when I have no bias towards either team.
  9. Apparently Cardinal McCarderson ALSO can't pronounce Pina! #NotJustBrianAnderson
  10. That Jesus pose from Jesus after he hit home plate needs to be on a poster somewhere!
  11. I believe the main guy is Cardinal McCarderson, with Jason Motte and some guy called Dan Plesac to remind us there's a team playing the Cards.
  12. Plesac is the only guy giving Junior any credit at all, and even then, it feels apologetic. I get homer-ism from the regular Cards TV crew, but this is supposed to be a national broadcast.
  13. ....and the excuses for why the Cards aren't winning have started. Apparently injuries aren't very classy!
