  1. Awesome! Usually it's the "game over" posts in the 3rd inning of the IGT. Now it's the "season over" post with 2 months left. Oy...
  2. Play for today. Who knows if we even need him over the weekend. Blowout wins or losses will make that moot. Win today and let the weekend take care of itself.
  3. I don't think there is anything wrong with bringing up a guy who is absolutely raking at AAA. Yes, I know that AAA is juiced this year and that Saladino has a long, poor track record. I also know that he is a human being, and not a statistical robot, so things can change. Since Perez had a horrible June, it made sense to both reward Saladino for his good work this year while also giving another guy some time at AAA to perhaps find his stroke. Of course, that doesn't mean that anything he does will translate to any MLB success, but it is/was worth a shot. Well put.
  4. There's not one "non-Hiura" prospect (I think Hiura's past that stage now) that would get ANY TOR starter, currently. The farm simply is not good enough, compared to others' and what they can offer. Any thought that we remotely have the pieces to make a "significant trade" is wish-fulfillment on the part of some here, rather than a failing of the Brewers FO.
  5. For as "known" commodities as MadBum and Bauer are, I'd want no part of having to root for their brand of crazy in a Brewers uni, thanks.
  6. There were some who thought giving up Brinson to get Yelich was a joke trade, so I'm gonna suggest the FO wasn't sold on Dubon. Getting something for a guy not good enough to oust Saladino sounds like a good return!
  7. Wouldn't help us if they DFA'ed him on Thursday this week. It's timing, I guess...
  8. It's not his fault all the bases loaded at bats went to Yaz! Saladino would have put the game out of sight!
  9. Which one? I only scan through the IGT occasionally and it seems there were at least 3 or 4 posters using it as their personal soap box. Diamondbacks. He went out guns blazing last night. Posts have been deleted. Peckinpah'ed his way out of town, huh? I missed the IGT with work, but it looked like he was spoiling for a ban from post #1 Great win, Crew!
  10. Hiura will be the next Brewer to hit for the cycle, I'll wager!
  11. I like them both, although I did warm to LePay quite a bit. Plesac, when he's on MLB Network, is tolerable, and a rare Brewer cheerleader. As a color man, recently, he was just awful. Rambling, trying WAY too hard, and a complete distraction, in my opinion. Having heard most of the other commentary combos around the league, we are fortunate, I think. Many of the other pairs are frankly unlistenable. BA's time with us is coming to an end, based on his side hustles, and it's at least a coin toss that the new guy will be just as polarizing.
  12. If the Brewers lose this game BF.net might get burned to the ground tonight. At the very least, the pitchforks will be out for the "take Hader out with a 5 run lead" advocates.
  13. There is, frankly, ZERO chance of Hader pitching 3 games in a row anymore. None. During the regular season, I agree. I think it could happen in the playoffs, though. How often are 3 playoff games on consecutive days, though?
