    Well after cooling off for a little bit I guess we still won a big opening series on the road against our biggest rival. Some positives: TGJ, Weeks, Kendall, Sheets, Suppan, Bullpen (minus Gagne). Some negatives: Lack of pop (probably just Wrigley weather), Gagne, Bush, Yost still waiting too long to pull starters, Fielder and Braun just okay. All in all solid opening series and now we need to go beat on the Geriatric Giants. Should be a fun season.

    I finally added one of my favorite movies of all-time to my collection yestereday and sat down and watched the special features and just died laughing. The featurette about Uecker in the movie called "Just a Bit Outside" is classic. Several outakes/extended scenes are shown of Uecker improving his lines. If you haven't seen it yet, I suggest you buy the DVD and check it out.

    One of the game reports indicated that he was having trouble with his footing, with mud in his cleats. If you noticed, they had to rake the bullpen during his warm up session and he obviously looked uncomfortable. I think the general consensus between everyone on this site is to give him some more chances before calling for his head. After last year that may be difficult to do but we need to remain calm.
