  1. Giants vs Dodgers. Earlier this year, where Joe Panik hit solo shots to beat the Dodgers 1-0. I think the first two games of the year.
  2. I would be interested as well. Always love a good competitive league.
  3. Is that considered a clean inning for KROD? Only one base runner, nothing to really be terrified about. I was almost comfortable the whole time.
  4. While Yuni and Luc have been productive. I think braun's 4 RBI's are leading the way for the Brewers today. But the bottom of the order has been very good for them today.
  5. From reading this game thread, i thought this game was over. Does that mean we now have a 4 run lead in game two!! Never lose faith in these Brewers!
  6. Well you had three quarters of it right with 30 minutes of terror. It was certianly terrifying, but it was only just over 15 minutes. I thinnk i may have aged ten years in that 15 minutes though!

  8. Your not alone, my first thought was that might be in the stands. On another note, Braun is Good!

  10. That was way to tough of an out for it to be the pitcher. And Braun did not make cathcing that ball look very good. 44 pitches already, hoping for 6 quality innings out of Yo, but that may be a stretch at this pace.

  12. Wilsons home run in Florida! Also, no 2011 brewer highlight slideshow can be without any and all of morgan/plush interviews!
  13. Unconscionably Good has returned to the league, So the need is only for three new owners.
  14. Would also like to be included in this. Thanks.
  15. The thing I like the least about shopping or waiting in line at the checkout counter is when the person in front of you decides to shop from their cart while checking out. I had a lady at wal-mart a while back pull in front of me in the check out line with two carts filled to the top. She then proceeded to unload some from the first cart, and some from the second cart, figure out what her total was and then slowly pick out the few essential things that she still needed, leaving what amounted to about a full carts worth of goods left when she finally finished. It took her atleast 15 minutes to complete her shopping while in line. The only redeeming factor in this whole experiance was to stand in line and critique her choices while she was shopping. I never understood how she could rationalize not buying the diapers! This type of thing has happened to me at least three or four times at wal-mart, and infiriates me to no end. It is one thing if you end up not buying one thing or two things, everyone has done that, but when you pull up with the whole store in your cart and take 15 minutes to decide on what you actually want to buy while at the check out counter, it has gone way to far.
  16. I have been a subscriber to Netflix in the past and really enjoyed their services. They generally had very quick turnaround, 2-3 days, and always took your word and rectified any problems very quickly (i.e. lost movies, cracked movies or movies that simply did not work: These problems were far and in between during my 3 + years as a member) They provide a great servivice for a very good price. But about a year ago I switched over to Blockbuster, and iI feel I am getting a better deal. Currently, I rent out 3 movies at a time by mail (unlimited rentals per month), but i also have the ability to return the movies to the store and get free in store rentals as well, my plan calls for up to 5 free instore rentals per month. My cost is only 20 bucks a month. My turn around by mail is still 2-3 days, and my turn around in store is 3-4 days. I watch a lot of movies, anywhere from 2-4 a week. But just taking advatage of 4 in store rentals per week pays for my whole plan each month. The advatage I have found with Blockbuster over my previous experiance with Netflix is that I am able to get the new releases in the store, if there is a wait list for it on line. For the popular movies, if you are unable to get them right away when they are released you sometimes have to wait a couple of weeks for them to become available again. I am not sure what type of movies you watch or how many you may watch per month, but depending on what you are looking for, Blockbuster may be a better option for you, as it was for me.
  17. I will not be able to make the live draft at 7 on sunday. If the time is changed or we have a way to do it online i would be very interested in joining. If not and the league proceeds I will just have to miss out on all the fun. If this does not work out, there is one way we could get an on-line draft completed in time for this season. It is do to it through an ESPN mock draft, simply for a place to conduct the draft, then we could implement the players into the yahoo league. We would just have to pick a time to draft, and all enter the same room. They list mock drafts out atleast a half hour, maybe even an hour. The only difficult part in this would be getting all 10/12 people together at the same time and in the same mockdraft room. Lastly, there is the question of the money. The one good thing about a live draft is everyone has to pay upfront. With a online draft we would have to figure something else out. I understand the want to have a live draft, but sometimes that does not workout under these cicumstances, only 2 days until draft time. Nothing can replicate the fun and excitement of a live draft. But rather then missing out on a great season of fantasy football with a group of Brewer fans, we could get it done this year through an online draft and plan ahead for next year with a live draft.
  18. I would join as well. Prefer Yahoo over anything else. Up for any of the options listed as long as a pay league does not get too expensive.
  19. The big money maker in owning a sports franchise is the large windfall one assumes when they finally decide to sell the franchise. Year to year profits and losses do help, but the value of the overall franchise on the open market is the barometer that one is generally going to look to for how much they are making off of owning a sports franchise. Signing Ben Sheets and/or CC Sabathia will only help the brewers stay competitive in the NL and allow the franchise value to soar after multiple years of playoff caliber baseball. Co-inside that with the projected increases in fan attendance, merchandise and TV and radio revenues that would come with continually playing competitive baseball and the year to year losses will be minimized. The key is to not go to far into the red numbers which would adversely affect ones ability to keep their eye on the larger prize, the reward of increased franchise value. I am sure that a man of Mr. Attanasio's stature has this type of idea down. He will not shed a tear over relatively small year to year losses, when the increased value of the franchise continues to skyrocket. Just think of the profits he would already have if he sold the team after this year alone.
  20. The brewers are not the only team in MLB to have given up 6 runs in the bottom of the ninth without recording an out after today. We have the Tampa Bay Rays to thank for giving us some company, when they slapped out 6 runs in the bottom of the ninth to win today against the Indians. At least Cleveland only gave up a three run lead and lost by 3 , where as we gave up a 5 run lead.
  21. Having seen the fight live and then watching the replays a number of times, the whole fight appeared to be set off by one event. Manny and Prince were walking the length of the dugout "discussing" what ever they may have been talking about, but immediately before Prince went at Manny they seemed like they were going to end their discussion and go their seperate ways. At that point Manny swung his coat in disgust and it appeared that on his follow through, part of his coat hit Prince in the face, which then set him off. In fact prince immediately reacted after you see Manny throw his coat in disgust. This is very hard to tell from the replays that are shown on Brewers.com and ESPN.com, but during the game the view was wider and the coat to the face was more apparent in my point of view. Either way this is a very unfortunate event. Whether provoked by a inadvertent swing of a coat or from something that was said, it was a blatant overreaction by Prince in this case. But if it was a coat to the face after a heated discussion, there is certainly an amount of provocation that set him off. Just something to think about before you continue to call for Prince's head.
