  1. There's nothing I hate more than 0-2 counts that turn into walks.
  2. From the Reds board, today is the first scoreless 9 innings in Cincy since 1991, making it the first ever at the Great American Ballpark.
  3. I understand the lefty-v.-righty thing... but walking a guy to get to Brewer-killer Brandon Phillps scared the bageezus out of me.
  4. Why not leave Gross in to play center and let the pitcher's spot be #2? We could do another double switch to Cory Hart if we need to later...
  5. Two rookie pitchers... the top two HR-hitting teams in the NL... Great American Ball Park... I don't think this was the type of game that ESPN or any of us were expecting.
  6. And another "Thank You" to Narron for not having Dunn in that clean-up spot.
  7. Wow. Is now three straight times (going back to last night) that the Reds have had a guy at second with 0 outs and failed to even get him to third?
  8. Lee's in the line-up today. Appears that his injury last night was as minor as I had hoped.
  9. jtstew, you just beat me. Put in another vote for Burt Reynolds.
  10. If you are using MLB Gamecast, you go to another game, and then come back to the Brewers game, it flashes the "Home Run!" graphic across the top upon each return. I've watched it about 3 times and I still can't believe my eyes. (I don't know why I'm in such a joyous state of disbelief, Bill Hall walk-offs are almost routinee now)
  11. Thanks guys. Glad to hear that isn't unusual and we aren't gambling away an inordinate amount of picks.
  12. This is the first year I've followed the draft really closely, so I don't know what is "normal", but the Brewers seem to be picking a lot of guys who seem unlikely to sign. Is this pretty much par for the course for picks in the teens and below? Or are we taking a more gambles than normal?
  13. I'll second that. Amazing work as always, gentlemen. Thanks!
  14. Since Carlos went yard before they even brought in a pinch-hitter for Bush, Bush has to be in line for the win (provided Wise and TBow hold the lead).
  15. Sweet. Let's talk more about Carlos's slump.
  16. Wow. Is this what it feels like to other fans when Capuano is pitching?
  17. I too just dumped Davis. So look for him to throw a... uhhh... would I preemptively jinx his next start if I called for a you-know-what now?
  18. Can we please make that sac bunt worth it now... Also, is there a way to see the # of successful sac bunts laid down by a player? I would love to confirm or debunk my suspicion that the Brewers pitchers are the worst bunting squad in the bigs.
  19. I'm just happy that Bush has gone four innings without yeilding to the bullpen, much less even thinking about... uhhh... nothing in particular.
  20. I wonder what Bronson thinks of Cincy now? When he first heard that he was traded, he compared the news to hearing that his kids had died in a plane crash.
  21. I'm so happy right now, and it is only the first game of the season. I shudder to think of the emotional basketcase I will become if the Crew actually makes the post-season.
  22. Not the most PC way to list three strikeouts there.
