It really is a weird obsession. I mean, yeah, the Reds are in 2nd place. But it is a wide cushion. Talk to me when they get it down to four game or some. Otherwise I don't care what they are doing. I don't think it's weird to track the Reds. But, yes, I agree that it makes no sense to worry about it until the lead really shrinks. I just think what Votto is doing is awesome. I mean, not awesome for the Crew but it’s super impressive -

I’m not going to go as far as saying it was a bad send. He very well could have been called safe. Took a perfect throw and tag and an umpire that’s clearly being paid off by the Cardinals. Last part should be blue.

Has Votto ever had any major injuries? He missed over 1/2 of 2014. Strained left quadriceps. But other than that, he's been pretty healthy. Also, he missed about month or so with knee surgery in 2012. Thanks! Yelich being a string bean worries me.
