The rule seems silly if he automatically doesn't get the next base on that. He had rounded 3rd before the ball went out of play. It's not like he was between 2nd and 3rd. Oh yeah I wasn’t questioning the rule just couldn’t believe how close he was to the plate before the ball went out of play.
