Yelich is seeming to be making a little better contact attacking earlier in the count. Seems like the pitcher has been dictating the count with him the last couple of years.

With JBJ on the bench, CC seriously needs to think of a defensive switch late in games.

6.1 no hit innings, turns into 8 runs and a loss. That was about as bad of a loss that you can get. That is why it is a 162 game season. I’m a little worried about this weekend against the Giants with this decimated bullpen.

Given their options and the fact that they didn't need to hit for him, I thought it was a bit puzzling not to send Devin back out for the 10th. So it may not just be a Hader can’t pitch 2 innings thing. If you’re labeled a closer, you can only pitch the 9th.

Counsell is going to need to hope his starters can go deep the next couple of weeks or it could get ugly getting to the bullpen early.
