  1. Looks like the Stars were 2 hit.... Fielder with a single and Nelson with a double. 3 K's for Weeks.
  2. Four strikeouts for Rickie? Wow.
  3. Saguaros 5, Javelinas 3 Rickie Weeks on base in five of his first seven plate appearances, 2-for-2 in SB's; David Krynzel off to a 4-for-10 start -- MassBrew... David Wright?s (NYM) two run homer in the 6th inning was the difference as the Saguaros defeated the Javelinas 5-3 at the Peoria Sports Complex. The Saguaros scored all five runs in the fifth inning giving Matt Peterson (NYM) his first win of the season. Dave Krynzel (MIL) also tripled to drive in two runs in the sixth. Javelinas starting pitcher Chris Young (MON) looked impressive on the mound as he struck out three and only allowed two hits in three innings work. Byron Gettis (KC) had a solid day at the plate for the Javelinas going 2-for-5 with a double. The Saguaros remain the only undefeated team in the AFL with a 3-0 record this season. 4. Beloit loses 4-2. Shame we had so many injuries this year for the Beloit rotation.
  5. Tie game, bases loaded, two outs, bottom of the 9th..... And Kade Johnson grounds out.
  6. Yuck. Both the Snappers and the Stars lost.
  7. Anyone notice that this winning streak started the day that EY was traded? Coincidence? I think not....
  8. Crank the volume. It's there, just real quiet.
  9. Sarfate is pitching today for the Snappers. Expect him to go pretty far into the game because of how depleted the bullpen is after yesterday's game. Snappers are looking good. Gwynn and Weeks with singles, Gwynn steals third, and Hinton singles him in. Gwynn with two sacrafices and Weeks with an RBI triple to put the Snappers up 4 - 0 in the 4th. Fielder with a solo shot. 5 - 0 Snappers Snappers win 9 to 4. Missed some of the 7th and 8th watching Shark Week on the Discovery Channel.
  10. Beloit loses 11-9.... Prince gets his 25th homer, and 100th RBI.
  11. Beard comes off, Sheets does bad.... Coincidence? I think not.
  12. Just had an interview with Weeks on TV. Seems like a real nice guy, already signing autographs for the kids sitting behind him. Also seemed real nervous, and with good reason. Can't wait to see him start playing.
  13. That would be a great idea for the Brewer management. Get Weeks in Beloit, then plug the hell out of the Snapper game at Miller Park so that even the non casual fans show up. Have a nice give away and everything, fireworks after the game. It would be great for the fans to check out how "it's coming together" while watching our future 1B, 2B, and possibly OF. Anyone have any idea who is pitching that night?
  14. I'm pretty sure he left due to injury. I believe he took a ball off his hand and left soon after that.
  15. Snappers win 7-4.... Parra left early, I think he took a ball off the hand (the sound was really choppy). Prince got a bunch of walks, and Crabb had a few more errors.
  16. Ginter needs to start more often.
  17. Yesterday the Brewer minor league clubs went undefeated... Today they all lost.
  18. From what I've heard, taller pitchers have longer ligaments over which to disperse the force required to throw a baseball. This results in less injuries. Probably not right, but it sounds pretty good.
  19. Looks like Carlos Ramirez has won yet again tonight, improving his record to 5-0. Could he get a call up to Beloit before the year is done?
  20. Move Carlos to Beloit, and make Eveland a starter.
  21. Yeah, I think he called the guys at Brewerfan "draft wackos".
  22. Huntsville is winning 11 to 0 in the bottom of the 6th. Looks like the Monday curse is over with.
  23. A Hardy to Weeks to Fielder double play is sounding really good. But if we do get Young, it's still no big deal. We get a great player either way, and at a position that we need.
