  1. Well, from the sound of it, the first hit should have been caught by Nelson, but he took a few steps back and it fell in front of him. No worries.
  2. Kolb = Krap Should have traded him at the all star break. Edit: I just can't stand watching this team anymore.
  3. We had some nice beer throwing/fights going on in the buckethead section. Seriously, if you're a Cubs fan, why sit in the only place where there are Brewer fans? A 40 year old cubs fan, obviously drunk, arguing with a bunch of teenagers. The ****** deserved it. After the game it was like we won the world series. Every Brewer fan stopped and high fived each other on the way out while chanting "Cubs suck". It was beautiful.
  4. Massive tornado warnings in southeast Wisconsin. Going to head to the basement soon.
  5. My god... Could they have a few more tornado warnings?
  6. It's not like the kid was shelled... Only four hits let up, and it looks like some shotty defense let a run or two in as well. Probably a bit of excitement led to the lack of controll. The only thing that really bothers me about his outing is the strained back, hopefully nothing serious. I'm just glad this whole thing is done with and that he can start playing ball for the Brewers.
  7. Just a few quick questions.... Are there any Native American pitchers in the MLB? Have there ever been any?
  8. In one of the articles posted above it says he has a 91-95 MPH sinker. He also looks like he could add some velocity as he grows as well. Me likey.
  9. Those Arizona and Helena rotations are going to be stacked.
  10. Hopefully that error jump starts this offense.
  11. In honor of Trent's homer, here's a picture of Steve Irwin attacking a crocodile. http://www.lachelletours.com/pictures/auszoo1_m.jpg
  12. I didn't notice he was thrown out until they showed the replay of the argument. Way to go by Ned though. Nice to see him get fired up.
  13. Anyone else almost poop themselves when the ball left the bat on Corey's foul? Looked like a homer to me.
  14. Man, Jenks is horrible against the lefties. They could throw slider after slider off the plate and he'd swing every time.
  15. The two hits tonight bring Rickie's total to 14 for the year. The next closest guy in the Southern League has 6. I was listening to a Stars game a while back and Portnoy said that Rickie wears Bonds-like armor at the plate. I like him in the leadoff role for the Stars. Always finds a way to get on base.
  16. Ben's problem is that he needs to pitch pissed off more often. The last time he did, he shut out the Astros after only lasting 3 innings the previous start.
  17. Two questions... Is that the shoulder that was bothering him earlier this year? And what the heck is a sublixation?
  18. Prince with a two run shot. 8-2 Stars.
  19. I was at the game aswell, but my friend got us some amazing tickets... for free! We were row 3, just to the right of the cards dugout (right where the umps leave the field). But anyway, we were pretty much directly accross from the plate and that curve was a killer. And pretty much everyone was in the zone. He didn't get nearly as many calls as Woody did from our view. Pujols could only descibe Saenz's stuff as "****" and "****".
