    That jersey sure looks a lot nicer on him than that Brevard County one... Can't wait for this kid to just go nuts and take over the minors next year. Can we expect anyone else on the list other than Gamel and Escobar? Anyone care to guess as to where they will land?

    30 Rock is in the same boat as Arrested Development. A top notch show that is loved by critics and their small fan bases, but just do not get the ratings to stick around for too long. AD even poked fun at itself towards the end about having to bring in famous people to boost ratings. As a side note, the ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT MOVIE is a go! Confirmed by Ron Howard just the other day.

    Taylor Green is going to be the ghost of Cleveland trade past... Dude is going to explode over the next two years. I'm a little drunk at the moment (on alcohol, and man my crush on Taylor), but I'm calling 20 HRs in Huntsville next year. He is next year's Mat Gamel, but can actually stick at the hot corner. From all accounts he is THE player that the Brewers, and any team for that matter, should be looking for, a hard worker who gets by on his limited talent, but keeps working hard enough to turn that low cieling into something that could eventually become great. Keep it up Mr. Green. And an advanced welcome to Milwaukee.

    Hmmm. Maybe this Doug Melvin guy isn't as clueless as we all think on the minor league front... I'm just waiting for LaPorta to come down with a case of rabies (not really, but it seems likely after the last few trades).

    Green 2008 > Gamel 2007 He's gonna bust out big time once he gets out of the FSL. Glad they picked Brantley, that's for sure. And for all of those freaking out because we just traded our OBP God / future lead off hitter, both Green and Brantley had more walks than strike outs this year. One of them, however, also hit 15 HRs in one of the worst offensive parks in the minors.

    From BA's AFL roster page... X-Factor: The Brewers promoted hard-throwing righthander Jeremy Jeffress to Double-A specifically because they wanted to send him to the Arizona Fall League. He's responded by going 2-0, 1.93 in three starts with Huntsville. No starting pitcher in the minors throws harder than Jeffress, who's been clocked at 100-102 mph this year depending on which radar gun you're reading.

    Anyone else feel like whenever Batman was on screen, you just wanted to get it over with so you could see more Joker and Dent? There really can't be another Joker now that Heath has gone. He killed the character, and no one will ever even attempt to out do this masterfull performance. It's a shame though, cause he was so good that I think a good majority of the viewers are going to be pulling for the Joker to win throughout the movie.

    Anundsen could be a Webb-type that explodes once he gets nicer field conditions or better defenders behind him with that K ratio along with sick ground ball numbers. If he's not the pitcher of the year this year, he very well could be farther down the line.

    Do the Cubs really have the prospects to get Harden from Beane? Hill, Gallagher, Pie, Samarjakldnmaelkja, Patterson? None are LaPorta quality and I doubt Beane would bite.

    Now this puts the Cubs in a position to throw away any and all decent prospects they have to get a starter as well.

    Green and Cain are going to be studs once they leave Brevard County. This trade is going to suck. LaPorta by himself is better than that Dodgers offer.

    Just a guess, but I think Green and Cain are going to put up some big time numbers at Huntsville next year. Lorenzo is my pick to blow up like Gamel did this year. Heck, with Lucroy joining them, Huntsville is going to be stacked again next year.

    I'm pretty sure I'd give up three fingers to have Gamel be an MLB average defensive third baseman.

    Jeffress seems to always get the Doc Gooden comparison thrown his way (combination of looks and stuff). That's the only one I've ever heard for him.

    That Jeffress is going to be a good one. I'm salivating at the thought of a potential trio of Yo, Manny, and Jeffress in Milwaukee... This kid could make us forget about Sheets real quick. He's been a suprisingly good ground ball pitcher this year. Could his poor outings possibly be because of grounders finding holes against inferior minor league defense / groundskeeping? Anyone witness any of his starts that could give possible feedback?

    I really want to see Jeffress go the full 7 today... He's got two innings down so far, all ground outs in the first, and all K's in the second. Love it.

    Is this the Rickie that we've been teased with the last few years? Maybe we should just sit him for two weeks to start the season so that he just turns into an animal from the get-go.
