    I have gotten 2 speeding tickets in my life, both times the radar was real close to what I was going, and both times the officers were classy and handeled the situation well. However to answer the thread question, he could have lied, just as any person doing any profession can lie or slip up. This isn't an attack on Police Officers at all, I am just saying there is a possibility that he was wrong, just like anyone can mess up at work.

    In one inning I both puked in my mouth and pooped my pants, this isn't the first time it has happened this year.

    Just finished about 5 minutes ago. Pretty good book and a good end to the series. The book was great after they arrived at Hogwarts, a pretty long and epic battle. Before that it was good, but seemed to drag at some points. Since I just finished the Dark Tower series 2 months ago, I feel like comparing the two, although this is very unfair because Rowling writes for children and King writes for adults. The Dark Tower is an unbelievable journey that is so deep and complex, while the Potter books in the end are a big long childrens story/fairytale. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but there was no question that these books were written for a diffrent audience. All in all, I started reading Harry Potter in the summer of 03 and I just finished today, 4 years later. I feel like I read an awesome story, maybe not the best books I ever read, but a very engrossing and fun story. I will be passing them on to my kids. (If I ever have any)

    For the rest of my life everytime I hear Swingtown, I will think of Section O. When I was in High School my teacher would always say that during this song the students were discussing their grades.

    I don't want this to become a political thread, but I would assume that most of the funds from this are going to be coming from research grants, not taxpayer money. Since I graduated and work here I am going to be following this closely.

    My beef is not with the kids or their families or the people helping them out. I am just expressing frustration that when I sit down to watch MLB/NBA/NHL/NBA highlights I get a story more suited for 60 Minutes or Outside the Lines. The reason I follow sports is to remove myself from the sad/boring/dificult things in life.

    I wish they would take these things off. I watch Sportscenter to either see highlights or watch a couple hours of TO/Barry Bonds/Mets/Yankees/Red Soc/Kobe speculation. Not really really sad stories about terminally ill children. I feel for the kids and their families, and I believe that what the players are doing is wonderful, but I just don't want to watch human interest stories when I am watching sports news.

    Charter, uhhhhh. This weekend my service was out on Sunday for 4+ hours. Both internet and cable were out, so I called the hotline and I get the message "We are aware of outages in these areas". I was so angry, it happens maybe once every 2 weeks, and I get so sick of it. In August when I move into a new house I am going elsewhere for my internet/cable needs.

    Phish is cool, I am not a huge fan though. I am a pretty big GD fan but I my favorite band in the world is Umphreys Mcgee.

    Agree with NDOG, never thought I would see De La Rocha with Rage ever again. Man, I am so jacked, this concert has been a long time coming, now if only I could catch MF DOOM my life would be complete.

    I like some of Soundgarden's stuff, and I was a fan of Audioslave(because of the Rage ties), but the Pumpkins have a special place in my heart. I have all of their discs and even bought that Zwan CD.

    I went to Waunafest last year and heard someone at the bar all night saying to have a "Merry Waunafest"

    Right now, it is "The Drawing of the Three" by Stephen King. It is the second book of the Dark Tower sereis, which is one awesome series. But since my favorite book changes all the day, past favorites include: Slaughterhouse Five For Whom the Bell Tolls On the Road Grapes of Wrath Lord of the Rings Shakey: Neil Young's Biography I guess I always liked English class.
