  1. hope that italy can win both games (romania and france) and qualify but: these are the causes of yesterday debacle: 1) materazzi he's done. forget the warrior of 2006, he should quit. he had an awful season with inter (missing the penalty that could give inter the championship, among other things) the best two italian defenders defenders are not playing: nesta decided his story with the azzurri was done, cannavaro sprained his ankle. chiellini (juventus) should get a chance. 2) donadoni: he was a terrific player, played under sacchi, capello etc. but he trained livorno (6 months and then he was fired!) and that is for his coaching career. he was choosen because he was the only italian trainer free at the time. 3) milan midfield: ambrosini/pirlo/gattuso the whole ac milan midfield that couldn't qualified their club for the next champions league. they are good players but the climax of their career is in the past. where was de rossi (bench) and perrotta (maybe antigua...) 4) camoranesi: no need to play a guy from argentina when there are 100 real italians who are better players (cassano and del piero are far better and ready to go). edit: dozen of spelling errors..more to come!
  2. 'cos prince is not staying in milwaukee, and in 3 years he won't run an field no more. maybe if the brewers switch back to the AL. i m definitely into trading prince (as soon as his numbers increase again)
  3. ..and what about the face of zambrano himself?
  4. grande gioia dall'italia. grazie ragazzi!
  5. dusty knows some sabermetrics we don't even imagine...
  6. awesome work. i know it's a small sample but prince and ryan seem to own lilly
  7. how is the weather now? i will do broadcast in italian (http://www.lephio.org:8000/radioplayit) for the few fans of baseball in italy. sometimes the broadcasters are more than the audience... of course, if you want to join (you must be a mlb.tv subscriber, we provide only the audio file). we'll have a telephone interview with alessandro maestri, a italian pitcher playing in the cubs system. i really want to do mil@chc as i am the one man italian brew crew, in case of rain, we'll do arizonaVs Reds or yankee@bluejays.
  8. imo an exibition game would have got a sell out crowd. being italian i enjoyed watching the game at noon instead of working, but it makes no sense to me having a opening day of opening days in japan. mlb seems very intersted in "expanding the strike zone", here, they say they could give money to build a ballpark in Rome to play mlb games or WBC in a near future.
  9. oh, you americans, show some love for soccer! no one even mentioned it, but you have dozens of great teams and players....ehm maybe not! i am a die hard of Inter Milan, reguarding american teams, i support the lakers (when i was a kid the italian television broadcasted a game a week, on sunday morning, sixers, celtics and lakers were the typical teams involved, my elder brother choosed docj, and larry bird was rather scaring for a little kid, so i choosed the lakers) i usually watch NFL PO, and usually root for the underdogs.
  10. tony clark 2rbi double makes it stl 4 ari 6
  11. upton 2run HR tied the game. salazar followed with a double. no outs in the bottom of the 7th
  12. in my opinion you can't be a professional player and have the belly. estrada is fat. being out of shape produces injuries and doesn't make you acheive (for your team and for your money) full potential ..and most of all i don't like his belly. i'm looking forward seeing ray king's one, it is always mesmerizing..
  13. brandon philps jim edmonds carlos zambrano
  14. "This Harris Poll® was conducted online within the United States between June 5 and 11, 2007 among 2,372 adults, of whom 874 follow baseball" this is silly, the dodgers below the brewers... hey, guys from harris poll, emails are free, ask another 10,000
  15. an italian baseball broadcaster who calls the d-backs "arizona diamond-d-backs".
