    I keep seing that the Brewers are negotiating with Jungmann, but is there any news on the Bradley front?

    I can go for Springer at 12 but, I'm not a fan of Jungmann's delivery and hope the pass on him. I realize that Purke is having some issues right now, but the Brewers can't possibly let him pass by if he's available at the 15 slot(Crossing my fingers!) I could see them also go for C.J Cron and would love Bauer if he's their at either pick.

    I'd be up for Adam Everett at SS. Overall it wouldn't be much of a drop-off from Escobar's production.

    Three players from the past I think he could be a hybrid of are Larry Walker/Craig Biggio/ Darryl Strawberry(minus the off/on field troubles).

    I wouldn't mind a Hart for Minor trade but I find it hard to believe they'd trade him so soon after beginning his career. The arm that they should really go for in ATL's system is Randall Delgado.

    I thought the guy who looked the best out of the scouting videos on Milb.com was Karsten Whitson. I highly doubt the Brewers would pick him since he's a high schooler. My guess is Matt Harvey.

    I have to say the time is now to sign him before he goes to the All Star Game or wins a Gold Glove and drives his price up! Having Weeks and Braun signed to multi year contracts would have to be very ensuring to Fielder if he decides he wants to stay.

    Granted these 3 have been injury prone, but for me, personally, the appeal for those 3 is the fact that they have the ability to conjure up a dominating performances on any given night. I do believe 2 or 3 of them yearly salary could be had with the yearly rate that Lackey will command.

    Exactly. Lackey may be the "cream of the crop" - but there are several players more talented available. He has a career 3.81 ERA and dwindling strikeout numbers. I am terrified to give him anything over 4 years. If healthy, I think Sheets, Bedard and Harden all have better stuff. Myers, Randy Johnson, Pedro, Lowry could also potentially put up similar numbers with a lot less of a commitment. Lackey is no Sabathia. I agree with you twobrewers. It's just more fiscally responsible to go after Sheets/Bedard/ Harden/Myers/Martinez/Johnson/Lowry for a couple years and try to figure out which of them will warrant an extension beyond 2-3 years(excluding Johnson and Martinez). If the Brewers are going to attempt to extend Fielder, they can't afford to have a contract like Lackey is figured to get bogging them down. Hopefully, 2-3 years should be plenty of time for us to get some of those young arms developed.

    I'm not enamored with Glen Perkins. Would it be too much to ask for Francisco Liriano instead???

    What happens if they select him and can't get him signed? Do they get next year's #1(a) and (at this rate) #1(b), or in other words, the first and 2nd pick, assuming they finish with the worst record again? I'm assuming that's how it works.

    Jeffress Rogers Odorizzi Scarpetta Lawrie Escobar, Gamel and Salome are the obvious choices, but boxscores won't help me gauge what I'm looking for out of them. At this point the majority of my attention goes towards pitching development. Also, I'm keeping an eye on Mike Jones after his nice start on Saturday.
