  1. BTW, if you are going to bat Jenkins 8th you shouldn't even play him at all. I was all for mving him to 6th, but no point in embarrassing the guy.
  2. Helms hit's a HR here and it's tied! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif EDIT: Bleh.
  3. Jenkins needs to go the way of Wes Helms. Buried deep on the bench for the foreseeable future until he shows in PH appearances and occasional starts that he can produce at better than a .700 OPS. I just think a decision like that would be INCREDIBLY shortsighted. Assuming the Brewers aren't going to bring up a corner outfielder until next year (looks to be the case) you would be replacing Jenkins with Magruder?? You honestly think Magruder is better? Second, replacing Jenkins with ANYONE who might be moderately better isn't accomplishing anything anyway. He has $20 million left on his contract, guaranteed. People can @#%$ all they want but Jenkins was about average last year. So he's been truly BAD for less than 3 months, and you don't bench a guy for 223 bad AB when you owe him $20 mil over 2 years. Really, what is he going to show you getting 5 AB a week as a pinch hitter, anyway? It's a bad situation but benching him permanently just makes it worse.
  4. ...becuase I CAN'T figure out how to cut and paste a "spaced" table and have it format nicely. The spaces go away. This has been talked about before but it's apparently much to hard for me. I need an idiot's guide or something. Thanks!
  5. Weeks defense has been considered a "work in progress" for over 2 years now and it's still horrible. If Weeks has 5 tools, then they must be: 1. hitting for average 2. hitting for power 3. speed 4. hitting 5. hitting How many more years do you let Weeks play at 2B before you give up on him there??
  6. Now it is http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  7. My wife thinks I'm crazy for subjecting myself to the Milwaukee Brewers when they upset me more than make me happy. She has a point.
  8. Nice to see Yost clapping his hands. I'm glad he's happy.
  9. WHY do you catch that ball? Bill, you are stupid wrong. I'd like to see how many teams come back from a THREE run lead with 2 innings left. I'm sure Bill can tell me off the top of his head.
  10. So this is where the Crew ends up getting blown out? And i want to know what innings the Brewers score in. Seems like they are up 2-0 early in every game, only to lose 5-2. EDIT: Can Magruder play defense at ALL??!
  11. Come on guys, nine more outs! EDIT: 2 foul outs..... 7... more.... outs..... SHEESH.
  12. 2 linedrive double plays with RISP is BAD luck no matter how you look at it? How many linedrive dps, where it's caught and the runner is doubled off, do you see in a week? ONE, maybe?
  13. Brewers are just having such BAD luck!
  14. I cant wait until Hardy makes an error and everyone here calls for him to be moved to centerfield. That's a valid point, well except that hardy has major league ready defense at SS out of highschool and Weeks has played bad defense at 2B since he started there. But other than that, I think your right. EDIT: Error 1, a 25 feet lollipop throw to Overbay pulled him off the bag. ERROR 2: Ground ball through his legs. Weeks will play in the majors for a longgg time. It just won't be at 2B.
  15. Whoever this Nomo kid is sure must be good.
  16. OK, so you've all known for about 2 years now that Weeks can't handle second base. When will the powers that be figure it out?
  17. The "new" Hardy seems to fly out to left field every AB now.
  18. According to the D-Rays broadcast, the Brewers have had 27 games where they scored three runs or less. That's an awfully high number this early in the year. Considering the average runs scored per game in the NL is a little over 4 runs, why would it be suprising that the Brewers have scored 3 runs or less in 42% of their games? That sounds EXACTLY right, actually.
  19. Live interview through a translator? Greatttttt idea.
  20. First complete game shutout!!?? Wow http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Sheets comes flying out of the bullpen to give him a high-five. How cool.
  21. Will Bill ask Ohka about atom bombs in the pre-game? I'm WAYYY late but this was funny as hell http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  22. Having the new kids up won't keep us interested for long...
  23. Wow, Jenkins struck out on aball he could never have physically hit. That's a new one. ROBBED HARDY of a hit. Damn, It really makes me HAPPY that Sutton was so thrilled of that catch. I think he forgets that he's been PRETENDING to be a Brewer fan for the last few years.
