  1. Can somebody please explain to me why we're still pitching to D. Lee? Can we end forever the "Derrick Lee should be walked every AB" talk? It's just not right. And you guys keep talking about how Sheets is pitching poorly but 2 runs in 6 innings? Expecting a complete game shutout every game isn't fair. EDIT: O yeh, Overbay sucks too, right? Sheesh. HR.
  2. Wow, took 8 pitches to mow down the Brewers that inning. OUCH.
  3. So, all you are asking for is 0 earned runs from Sheets? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. Average Runs Scored, 1999-2002 1st & 2nd, 0 out: 1.573 2nd & 3rd, 1 out: 1.467 1st & 2nd, 1 out: 0.971 Even if Yost assumed a 100% success success rate for Trent's sacrifice attempt, it would STILL be the wrong move. Assuming something like an 75% success rate, it becomes down right STUPID. If some baseball nerd like me can pull this information off the friggin internet, you would think a manager of a friggin professional baseball team would be privy to it.
  5. I'm suprised Yost didn't have Lee bunt there in the bottom of the ninth with noone on. I know alot of you guys like Yost but I can't stand his in game moves. DON'T tell me hindsite crap, we all moaned BEFORE Trent even took his first bunt attempt. Yipee, I get to see a Derrick lee interview after the game. It's FUN to hear him talk about beating the Brewers. Great job TV crew! Atleast he said "battle".
  6. Have to save that infielder for... ummmm.
  7. Um, Weeks SS, Helms 2B, Clark 3B. Maybe that was Yost's plan! O wait, yost never has a plan!
  8. Neifi's OPS is now under .700. Who would have thought he would regress to the mean. Not Baker, he's still batting 2nd!
  9. Look, down by 2 runs in the 8th, all you are playing for is the LOSE if you try to bunt runners over. There is NO way that that can be construed as a good move. It is a HORRIBLE move. It is a stupid move. It makes NO sense at all. You maximize runs by NOT giving 1 of 3 lousy outs that you are given an inning.
  10. It's fun to watch the Brewers be pathetic over and over again. they have been doing it for 12 years. The players are stupid and the manager is stupid. And I am stupid for watching.
  11. You have 6 FRIGGIN OUTS left, so give one away!? Did I mention I HATE YOST??!!
  12. O look. Trent FRIGGIN Durrington, Yost NEW favorite battler! He fails at bunting. Who would have guessed. EDIT: WOW, EASILy gets the lead runner. I hate you, Yost.
  13. Nice walk, Jenks! He's not been TOO bad in June. Over 100 pitches... get Zambrano out of there! Miller follows with a hit. First and Second and no out. 108 pitches.
  14. The TV guys made a good point (crazy, I know). The Ump was very professional about the Hall boot. He kicked him out right away, let him yell a bit and just stood there. Classy. Not like SOME umps that cause confrontations.
  15. Helms apparently got the start based on a sample size of 7 AB. He's 0-2 today, but Sutton says the 4-9 shows that he "handles" Zambrano. EDIT: Helms K's on a ball WAYYY outside. He's 4-10 now. I guess, since he's batting .400 against Zam he's still "handling" him.
  16. Hall 1.0 is starting to show himself a bit offensively and defensively. Fight the urge, Hall!
  17. Queue Bill: "That's a tough pitch to take with 2 strikes." WOW, thanks Bill for that kernal of knowledge. I've NEVER heard you say THAT!
  18. That ump sure like the outside pitch today. Some of those look WAY off the plate. Brewers have NO chance if they have to go fishing. EDIT: O look, Hall then gets ejected after ANOTHER pitch off the plate rings him up.
  19. Davis has a 2 hitter through 6 and has just about a 0% chance of winning http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif To be a Brewers fan!
  20. There's a difference between having a career year and batting 100 points over your batting average. Lee is going to regresses atleast SOME. I know, bold prediction to say he will end up with a batting average below .389 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Davis K's him AGAIN. It's starting! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. O look, another TIE at 1B that the ump calls an out. CAN THE MLB OFFICE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT. THE RULES SAY TIE GOES TO THE RUNNER.
  22. For anyone who cares: OBP, June: Perez: .252 Patterson: .219! What the HELL is Dusty THINKING? He doesn't deserve to win a single game.
  23. Davis makes his living throwing his cutter inside; If you take that away from him he has nothing. He HAS to go inside.
  24. Um, HOW MANY RBI's would Derrick Lee have if baker didn't have his two worst OBP guys batting in front of him?
  25. Has Clark EVER thrown anyone out at home? Bill thinks it was a "good" throw, further strengthening my opinion that it stunk.
