  1. I've found that just about all local broadcast teams are quite homerish...and that's perfectly fine by me. If the game is on ESPN or FOX nationally, I'd like to see unbiased coverage of both teams. But if I'm watching my local Brewers coverage, I want to hear more about my team more than about our opponents, and I want our announcers to get excited for big plays on our side and not so much on the other. I don't see why this is a big deal at all...it's local coverage!
  2. Anyone just see the graphic put up on FSN? Brewers are 5-7 against the NL Central this year Pirates 2-0 Cards 1-2 Astros 1-2 Reds 1-3 ...did you catch what the soon to be fired stat guy at FSN didn't??? How can you screw that one up, come on!
  3. Tonight's lineups from ESPN.com... ATLANTA MILWAUKEE 1. M. Giles, 2B R. Weeks, 2B 2. R. Langerhans, LF G. Gross, CF 3. C. Jones, 3B G. Jenkins, RF 4. A. Jones, CF C. Lee, LF 5. A. LaRoche, 1B P. Fielder, 1B 6. J. Francoeur, RF C. Koskie, 3B 7. B. McCann, C B. Hall, SS 8. W. Betemit, SS D. Miller, C 9. T. Hudson, P T. Ohka, P
  4. Gross to replace Clark in CF tonight...per jsonline.
  5. Hey look on the bright side guys...at least those of us at the game got $1 hot dogs! (as was promoted by the shirtless bunch in the front row in the left field bleachers) As frustrated as I am with the team so far...I strangely am extremely optimistic that things will start falling into place very soon...and when they do, watch out.
  6. Anyone know what radio channel this game is on in Madison? I'm listening to 1310 WIBA right now and getting some talk show...not the crew. It's got to be on somewhere...right??? EDIT: Nevermind, found it on 1070.
  7. Ok, I realize pitchers haven't been deadly against us, I was just saying they have knocked in a few key runs within the span of a week. It was just one of those "oh great, I hope this doesn't happen again" type things. No, I am not afraid of Marquis' bat, I was just saying...
  8. From jsonline.com: "Marquis is one of the best-hitting pitchers in the NL, batting .310 last season with eight doubles, a triple, a home run and 10 RBI." Does this scare anyone else given the offensive production of the 9-hole against the Crew this year? Anyways, I think this is a huge game for us (well, as huge as the 8th game as the season can get...). We got off to a hot start of course, but have cooled off and need to stop the bleeding before a 2-game skid becomes a 4 or 5-game losing streak. If this team wants to become a contender, these are the kinds of games they have to win.
