From the reports and videos I've seen, he has an absolute cannon of an arm. I've also read that he may be the slickest fielding prospect in the system. If he continues to fill out and produce, I could see him being moved to 2B.

I believe Joe Dillon will hit better than Rickie Weeks.

I understand backing up a teammate, but that's usually done when confronted by someone of the media, or an opposition, not your manager/coach. This is bad for Yost. The players are turning on him in a hurry, and unless he morphs into something he's not, a motivator, he has no real value other than familiarity.

He'll most likely be playing RF. Chris Young has been a very bright spot in a struggling class. Young has also has turned into a very fine center fielder. If they keep Byrnes around, the Dbacks will have a nasty starting outfield.

Danzig, I just about poured my coffee on the keyboard. GREAT analogy!

I can't wait until we have to play good teams.

50 games for Adderall? Even though it's a "banned substance", it hardly warrants the full suspension, IMO. I've been on Adderall before, and it really doesn't do much other than help you concentrate. And if he was using this as a substitute for his ADD, there needs to be an honest appeal made.

Brewers losing, Cubs winning, dealing the top pitching prospect in the system for a stuggling rental, and Yost acting like he's managing a high school game. Today sucks.

This is more disheartening than anything else. I loved seeing Thatcher make it all the way back from Indy ball, and Inman is a prime time pitcher. Here's to the comp and sandwich picks making this deal worth it.

    Thanks for all the help.

I don't live in the state anymore and will be traveling to Milwaukee for a family reunion (and hopefully a game). The cheapest flights are to O'Hare rather than Mitchell and I was wondering if anyone has experience with this sort of shuttle service. Train possibly? If anyone has some experience with this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

So, did anyone else notice that Barnwell pitched the ninth for Nashville tonight? Is this for real?

The Final Vote is: Chris Young Brandon Webb Carlos Zambrano Tom Gorzelanny Roy Oswalt Here's to hoping the most deserving pitcher, Chris Young, gets in.
  14. True CryM
I cannot believe Chris Young did not make the team. He'll most likely get out-voted by Zambrano, while having half the ERA.

Wasn't this same argument made when comparing Prince vs. D. Lee? I'm still not seeing the overwhelming advantage. Is there a website that I may reference for this explanation?

Carlos Guillen is having a monster year. Leyland will definitely be adding Guillen barring an injury.

Unreal! Congrats to Manny on the PERFECTO!

Fire Ned Yost. This team is the worst in baseball, and I am embarrassed to be a fan. I'm done following the major league club for the rest of the week.

NO HITTER NO HITTER NO HITTER NO HITTER.

8 bags on 8 attempts? I thought Salome had a cannon. Maybe a loose cannon tonight? Does anyone have some in-game reasoning regarding this? Thanks.

Two dingers through two innings? Tough opener thus far for Jeffress.
  22. True CryM
The 7, 8, and 9 guys in the order might as well walk up to the plate empty handed. Weeks' bat waggle seems to be working fine. Craig Counsell should never start a major league baseball game, ever. Nice sign Doug!
  23. True CryM
    What is happening?
  24. True CryM
    Hart please.

Is there any way we can get our guy who mashes LHP's in the game!?
