  1. When we made it to the World Series, I created the thread titled "What does making the World Series mean to you?" I don't need to make a companion thread this time. We all know. It means everything. All day, I've been thinking about my dad. I didn't have much in common with him growing up, but we had the Brewers. He took me to games, and I passionately followed the team. He's been gone since 2017, which makes tonight so bittersweet. But I'm so thankful, because without him, I don't know how much I would love baseball.
  2. I got to witness some of the mid 80's Beloit Brewers teams. It's a longer way from that.
  3. Shoot, Ginter's nothing. Earnest Riles, Tim McIntosh, Randy Ready are some of the names that come to my mind.
  4. I know. I'm naturally cheap, so prices usually are a bit of a shock. I'm ordering one.
  5. I've moved to the computer. Have the stream of WTMJ on and the Fox YouTube stream up. And of course, tab 3 is this page. LET'S CELEBRATE!!!
  6. 1996 Brewers--Are they even playing anymore? The Packers are where it's at.
  7. I’m crying. I’m thinking of my dad, who took me to Brewer games, passing on a love of baseball that my grandfather passed on to him. I’m thinking of my sister, who lived in Clearwater and was always dragged along to games and had to put up with her brother’s incessant babbling about baseball and stats. I wish they could be a part of this celebration.
  8. Here we go. I’m going to watch and enjoy and hopefully cry. Hopefully see you in a little while for us to celebrate.
  9. The best place I sat was in their field level club thing that had all you could eat food. My sister lived in Clearwater and had a friend who worked in the ticket office and he hooked us up with the tickets.
  10. This. I’m just feeling so much better about our pitching than theirs at the moment. Along with the reality that we crushed so many balls and they didn’t find the open space…..that’s not going to last. I’m hopeful tonight’s the night and good things happen and we’re partying tonight.
  11. Yep. Just read it’s a foot injury that he’s had for 3 months. He says he’s good to go tonight.
  12. One big thing to watch is the status of Caminero. He was favoring his leg at first, then sprinted first to 3rd and when he got taken out was moving slowly and deliberately. I want this to end tonight, because I have stuff going on Friday and Saturday…..and I just want this over with. Let’s do this!!!!
  13. That was the Brewers' first loss in 21 days. I mean.....that's pretty darn good. We still have 3 opportunities to win 1 game, while they have to win all 3. I still love our odds.....but I want it to end tonight. My schedule needs it to end tonight.
  14. Caminero was the one who looked it to me. Limping after he got on first, even more after running to third. That will be something to pay attention to.
