  1. Except that who cares if Yo throws 45 pitches to go 2 scoreless innings in relief. If he's starting, that's an avalanche of pitches early in the game.
  2. I don't know why Villy wouldn't be our next option for the rotation. He was good last year, has been good in the pen, he's earned a chance.
  3. Hmm, games after the All-Star break, had I read that post entirely the first I would have known. For some reason I thought the first half finished then the All-Star game.
  4. Yes, because there's only like 15 games to the halfway point. I'll go look up the exact number if I can find it (Mass probably knows), but BC needs all the wins they can get, they don't have an overwhelming lead. edit. If the end of the first half is June 15th, they have 14 games left, or 3 starts max for Inman.
  5. Me liking Estrada has nothing to do with his OBP, obviously.
  6. 96 or 97 pitches for Vargas, looks like Villy is going to get a couple of innings here.
  7. I really like Estrada, but defensively he's not so hot with the basestealing.
  8. Vargas is very inconsistent, drives me nuts... Darn, from 1-2 to 3-2 and bases jacked. edit. Thank god, fly out to Hart.
  9. Possibly, but he started the season in extended spring training (the DL) so he wasn't healthy enough to start the season. I asked a similar question as you and Mass pointed out that he had been catching, and that's when I went back through the box scores saw the every other day thing. Whatever works I guess, if every other day does the trick, I don't have a problem with it. I was looking at it from the point of view of limiting Corredor's ABs as he's been pretty poor at the plate. At least Salome is still hitting everyday, but I think pretty everyone is more concerned about his errant throws than his offense at this point. edit. Also, it just occurred to me that maybe they thought they pushed Lou too fast, which contributed to his decline and probable loss of confidence. Just conjecture on my part, but worth throwing out there at any rate.
  10. I thought about the strike out thing, but in 2004 Sheets still had very reasonable pitch counts in those games. I was looking around and didn't see a pitch by pitch breakdown available by at bat so it's tough to say, but my gut tells me he's wasting pitches and letting batters get too deep in the count.
  11. It takes 6 innings or less in AAA for Yo to reach 100 pitches, he's no Dillard with the pitch counts. I just don't see him in the rotation yet, especially considering his innings are limited, or more likely the Brewers will have him on a max pitch limit. He could pitch 5-6 innings every game into September, but at this point I feel his high pitch counts are more of a concern than his innings.
  12. For awhile he was catching every other day, I haven't paid attention much since as I've been very busy. If he's in fact still doing that, it makes sense given he's coming back from a pretty severe injury.
  13. Is there a way to find out how many pitchers have gotten hits against the crew, and how that compares to other teams? I just get the feeling that every pitcher gets their hits off the crew, or at least it's felt that way in the last week.
  14. This story gets more interesting by the day. His uncle was charged with bribing votes for $5 a piece. www.jsonline.com/watch/?w...7&id=24303
  15. Gwynn in right field makes me ill but that's been beat to death.
  16. reserve list. It was talked about some earlier. p092.ezboard.com/fbrewers...4145.topic
  17. Wow I didn't notice that BC has lost 3 in a row somehow. Hopefully Inman will do his thing tonight.
  18. He's good, though I'm baised obviously. I loved him on the NBA games, I was unstoppable with the Mavs. edit. I know he doesn't play for them anymore, I haven't played an NBA game since 2002 or so.
  19. Nah, I wouldn't want Damon, I never liked him much.
