  1. If Inman pitches today, doesn't he need like 7 and 1/3 innings to qualify for the ERA title? Aren't most double headers just 7 innings in the minors? What's the scoop?
  2. If Inman pitches today, doesn't he need like 7 and 1/3 innings to qualify for the ERA title? Aren't most double headers just 7 innings in the minors? What's the scoop?
  3. Isn't that the same guy that had an era of like 99 for the first month of the AZ league?
  4. People who litter. People chucking garbage and cigarettes out on the highway drives me absolutely nuts. It was worse when I lived in a first floor apartment all those years and people who just walk bye and flick the butts into the bushes in front of my apartment. Somehow they always found their way through and every spring and fall I'd have to clean up hundreds of butts that weren't mine.
  5. The Brewers and Packers today. Usually though, I love the fall, cause I love and coach football, so I generally have no issues this time of year. Why do my cats (long story about a relationship) sleep all day and play all night? Last night I had to lock the kittens in the down stairs bathroom with their food, water, and litter so I could get some sleep. I would have never believed 2 little animals could make such noise running all over the house at 1 AM.
  6. I wonder if the relative lack of success from the Latin players the Brewers signed last year is the reason they've been quiet in that market this year. I can see why an organization that doesn't see immediate returns on a couple of hefty signing bonus wouldn't go back. I admit, it still irks me that international players don't have to enter the draft like the NBA, that would at least give every team a reasonable shot to sign international talent every year.
  7. Also, Salome with 72 RBIs on the season and another home run today. I have to keep reminding myself not to get excited because he's only in A ball... sigh.
  8. Is it wrong that Inman gave up 2 runs and I'm disappointed?
  9. Any idea why Yo! went less than 5, the game log didn't specify the conditions of his early exit? ERA still 0.00 btw.
  10. I have ceased looking at the pitching match ups. It doesn't matter, if the hitters show up the crew wins, if not they lose. Everytime someone posts about favorable matchups the Brewers seem to lose every game they should win on paper.
  11. Not so good for Pascual or Jimenez... Pascual with 2.2 and 3 earned runs, Jimenez with .1 and 4 earned runs sporting that 108 ERA. From the box score looks pretty shoddy defense though all the way around for the littlest Brewers.
  12. No kidding. This year's in game threads swing with every single pitch, they remind me of Red Sox or Cubs in game threads... relax and maintain a bit of perspective people.
  13. Inman with a clean 3 innings, nice first start off of the disabled list. Apparently the mechanics change wasn't that big of a deal for him.
  14. I still blame West Point Dude... end the jinx buddy!
  15. This is starting to sound like a cub's fan in game thread. Relax gang, 1 game... many more to go.
  16. It's all about that kid they interviewed from West Point, he's 1 and 6 at Brewer games this year! Sometimes people must realize they are a jinx! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  17. I guess that's a matter of opinion.
  18. I have to agree with Sheets, my opinion has nothing to do with him being the 4th or 7th or 30th starter. Just throw strikes, watching Eveland really reminds me of watching Jamey Wright sometimes. If you continue to give people easy bases, they will beat you. I felt much better watching Bush yesterday than listening to Eveland today. Everyone wants Eveland to be successful, just like everyone hopes Safarte and JDLR will put it together. However, rooting for someone and remaining objective about their performance are 2 very different things that sometimes people here confuse. Dana has plenty of time to figure things out, but when I watch him pitch, I think he beats himself rather than making the other team beat him. He's got the goods to be a good MLB pitcher, no doubt about that. Is his line terrible? No way. That's the not point of what Sheets and I were trying to say though... the point was that we feel he's beating himself at this point in his MLB career.
  19. Throw strikes, pitch to contact, make them beat him... instead of the other way around...
  20. What's best for a certain players and what's best for the Stars, do not this year, seem to be on the same path. I see no reason to move up people up to bolster the Stars. The minor leagues are about developing players, and while I feel for our friends in Huntsville watching these games, it's time for certain players on the Stars roster to setup and prove they belong.
  21. The error thing is a bit perplexing to me, because when I look at the box score most are throwing errors, very similar to Weeks. I have a hard time understanding throwing errors, because to me that's the easiest part of the play. Fielder needs to grow a foot and with Braun and Weeks in the infield the crew might be okay...
  22. We are mediocre unitl we win something... the division, the wild card, whatever...
  23. I didn't make my point very well as I'm watching the game, wrapping my day at work, and obviously cheating and posting here http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I like Hall, I hope he continues to do well, but I'm not ready to unseat any current starters for him at this point. Last year I said he'd be the next Keith Ginter, and he's making me eat crow right now. I'm happy for him as a Brewer fan, but I'm unable to shake the feeling that free swinging Billy Hall is coming back... If he proves me wrong then great, and the way he's playing, I definately think he's earned a spot in the lineup most days. I'm not sold on Rickie's defense at all, and 2 years ago I felt the same way about Hall, but Hall has made noticeable improvement. If Hall does indead play his way into a starter (which he's well on his way to doing), then next year I could see him at second and Rickie in CF, though I'd hate to waste Hall's arm at 2nd. I just don't see a MLB tolerating the errors up the middle unless Rickie starts showing some sort of improvement in his footwork. Rickie's fielding has improved and I always thought fielding the ball the was the hard part, but Rickie is proving me wrong. Ugly DP there, but it counts. Why not jump the guy and throw, ensuring the out? That was way more difficult than it had to be.
