  1. I think those who know the full Doug Davis story stand up and applaud the guy. Those who don't (2/3rds of the crowd?) are all confused about why people are cheering for the opposing pitcher who used to be a Brewer. And a small portion of those 2/3rds smatter boos because of him being a former Brewer or just because he's the opposing pitcher regardless of knowing he's a former Brewer.
  2. 3 balls, 2 strikes, 2 outs. All three runners were going on the pitch, but got a little antsy and didn't make sure he went home with the pitch. Had Hall caught the ball at home, the runner still would have been safe. I see a triple steal--no errors. Konerko and the 2nd baseman should have been able to get the runner at first in the rundown before Delucci made it home. It was botched defensively by the Sox.
  3. Ahh the good old days. http://www.juegomania.org/Lakers+vs.+Celtics+and+the+NBA+Playoffs/foto/pc/5/5895/5895_t.jpg/Foto+Lakers+vs.+Celtics+and+the+NBA+Playoffs.jpg
  4. Ok, I'll provide the opposing viewpoint to my other picture. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q44/halba_md/brewers-lineup2.jpg?t=1212178681
  5. 3TO struck out in this picture. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q44/halba_md/brewers-lineup.jpg?t=1212174812

    Lost?

Oh yeah, and they broke the record for most times showing Kate's cleavage in one episode.

    Lost?

I feel so lost without the island. I don't like this feeling. Anyone feel what I feel?
  8. There's this one: http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb33/brewerscollection/Signed%208x10s/scan0008.jpg But he's always been a sleeves guy. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k148/CopperJJ/Ned_Yost.jpg
  9. So with the audio cables, I would go (one of these four - whichever you have) TV OUT / MONITOR OUT / REC OUT / CABL-SAT OUT into receiver CABLE-SAT IN. Then select the Cable/sat source on your receiver to play audio coming from your TV. Whichever inputs your audio cables are plugged into on the receiver should be the source you choose on the receiver to play that audio. If it doesn't work... The speakers on your TV work with the just the cable hooked up to it right? Do you have the model numbers for your TV and receiver handy?
  10. BJ is right. One-way transmission only. Hence all the OUTs and INs on the receiver and TVs. What you have now: HDMI OUT from the receiver to HDMI IN on the TV (Combo DVD and any other devices plugged into HDMI IN on receiver would play on TV) What you have yet to do: You must send the audio OUT from the TV/cable and IN to the receiver so it can send your TV's sound to the speakers. Do you have a set-top box? If you can go HDMI OUT from the set-top box and IN to the receiver, the receiver will send both video and audio to the TV via the cable you already have connected and you would watch TV and DVDs via the HDMI input on the TV. If you don't have a set-top box, you should be able to send audio out from the TV via the red/white RCA cables and into the receiver.

    Lost?

Anyone else think it was a real solid episode last night? They show how the 6 are transported off the island (assumed)... Claire's mother telling Jack that he and Claire are sisters... The "Others" are back... The lies about what happened during the crash and the reporter poking holes in Kate's story, Claire's mom (and other family members) don't know the truth... The raft bringing people to the boat, but the boat is loaded with explosives... Ben turning himself in to Linus, in an effort to get Locke to the Orchid to "move the island"...
  12. Sell the tickets. Your job is more important. That's assuming you don't get any vacation time that you could use and would be willing to use to attend a Brewer game.
  13. To answer your question, DHonks, I cannot answer your question because I cannot read the future. However, it sounds like you do do things with the boy, but just not as a group of 3. Does the boy attend the school you teach at? If so, watching him practice and taking him home after may not count for a whole lot since you are there already and just doing it for convenience sake for your g/f. Is your perception of him affected by how you see him at school. Because I think everyone's perception of their kids would be different. You just have the inside scoop. I don't have kids, but may some day soon, and I think that time with the g/f alone would dwindle and family time would take over once we have kids. I think your situation is different as you're being pressured to family time sooner than most. I get to ease into it. For you, it's either accept it or not. When I do have kids, I'm sure I'll have the same transition period you have right now. I'd sometimes want to spend time with just my wife. But the kids get in the way. It will take a while for our lives to adjust in that manner. I agree that if you do marry her someday, you do have a responsibility and a say in the discipline, but you should work that out beforehand. If you've never had a fight before, maybe now is the time to raise some hairy issues that you have with the son and with the g/f. Disagreements are part of relationships. Don't be afraid of them. You are learning on the job right now. You might do what feels right right now, but regret it a few months from now. It might work out best for the three of you.
  14. Yeah, kind of blah...too few colors. http://www.logoserver.com/baseball/MilwaukeeBrewersBarrel.gif
  15. And (unless it has changed) they'll ship them to your house no charge as well. I have 3 different-sized boxes, 25/each in a box. So it's not like you have to feel sneaky taking a few extra from your local post office. They're freely available.
  16. GPS? That's just funny. Is that for when total strangers show up at your house they can look up where they are? PSP as in Playstation Portable I believe he's referring to the "shortly GPS" on the PSP. I do enjoy CC more than BB. It always gets me when their online prices are different than their in-store prices, though. And you have to mention the online prices to get the cheaper price. Otherwise nobody says anything. So I'll usually shop online, use a coupon of some sort for an extra 10% off or $15 off $150 purchase (or similar) and pick up in store. As to what you should buy, you can get an inexpensive camcorder for that. Maybe a component or two for your surround sound, or an entire home-theater-in-a-box. Maybe you need a digital frame. I don't, but maybe you do. Or perhaps a TiVo. Or as a last resort, I, or someone, could buy it from you for say, $250, and we can buy what we want from CC and you have money in the bank.
  17. A week ago would have been a good time to remind people, as caesar70 probably knows already, that USPS will give you free boxes to ship stuff through them. You don't have to scrounge around for 80 boxes, you can get some good sized ones from USPS for shipping bobbleheads. They have priority mail, flat rate, express mail and international mail boxes. They're good to have around, come folded flat, and are extremely easy to assemble. http://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductCategoryDisplay?catalogId=10152&storeId=10001&categoryId=13354&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=11820&top_category=11820
  18. Are you in Milwaukee or a suburb?
  19. I, too, am amazed that a little bobblehead would have such a price. But I don't know how much more settled down I could be. Just trying to explain the bobble in question and compare it to ones we are more familiar with. No offense, champ.
  20. Would you pay $200+ for the Mark Attanasio bobble which is only a year or two old and has a run of 200 or so? $200 for a Beloit Fielder with a run of 500? Hardy High Desert...etc. etc. There are fewer of these early 60's (45-years-old) gold base, black, toes up Packers bobble and this one is in good shape. I do not know a whole lot about these, but I don't think it's outrageous considering the prices of other bobbles that are far, far less rare. , To answer your question, no I would not pay $1500 for any bobblehead. But with respect to how rare, old, and condition the bobble is, it's worth far more than any Brewer bobble. I would imagine anyone trying to collect this NFL set would pay a pretty penny for it.
  21. Yep, my Jenkins Stockton Ports is officially for sale now.
  22. When I first started Super Mario Galaxy, I wasn't all that enthused about it, but soon got hooked. The whole controlling Mario who is running upside down on a planet to a bit to get used to. Otherwise, I enjoyed Madden 08, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (didn't take to long to conquer, haven't played since, but is good for parties) Is Brawl like a Mortal Kombat-type game? Or is there more to it than little matches vs. other characters?
  23. I guess I don't see a whole lot of value in scorecards. I could buy 20 blanks ones from the stadium for this season, fill them out 20 years from now based on the best or most valuable games, and sell them like they're something unique and rare. And I'm just Joe Schmoe, not the manager or anything interesting like that. I guess my concern is that it would be easy to cheat the system on them. I do keep score at a couple games every season, but just for my memory so I can remember the games I go to since they run together over the years.
  24. What else would you trade for the Meche? I have one in the package, but am not really looking for the Ortiz.
